I dont think Keath was under any sort of cloud, he just got Burtoned.

As for Smith missing, we need a small to replace him rather than Elliot. I almost wouldn't mind the idea of Murphy going back.

But I hope that we give him a run next week

They never had any plans to play him regardless of injuries. It was a symbolic jesture to fans that want us to play youth as the season is over. They were also communicating to the player "train hard over summer" and we may give you a game next year when players have retired and when we inevitably lose players during the trade period.

Brodie Smith will miss Adelaide's clash with North Melbourne on Sunday.

Smith is a late withdrawal with a corked calf, and Jake Kelly comes into the final 22 as his replacement.

Bryce Gibbs, Kyle Cheney, David Mackay and Jordan Gallucci will start the game on the interchange.

First bounce is at 4.10pm ACST.

Sunday’s game will be broadcast on a delayed basis for free-to-air television viewers in Adelaide/SA as per the current broadcast rights agreement. The game will be exclusively broadcast live on Fox Footy.
