Maybe as more of a genuine target. Can always swing back too if they want Gov or Barrass up forward. Waterman is good but as someone already said he is more of a flanker and doesn't score a lot.

In what sense is Allen more of a "genuine KPP" than Waterman? Aren't they both athletic mid-sizers?

Allen could possibly play in defence as a mid size defender for us and allow Barrass to go forward.
Ah chee looked lost in defence last week while O.Allen is a much better option there.

If it rains, then a smaller can come in for Vardy.

Its not a bad balanced side if u remove one of the rucks IMO, wet or not. There's enough big guys to cover the times Lycett needs a rest.

Allen looks to have grown a bit so is taller and has more scope as a player. He's still not a genuine modern kpp size but has done well at wafl level recently in that role going off reports.

I think Allen has a bit more aggression and better kicking than Brander. Nice to draft two blokes with sticky hands in the one draft (despite needing mids)

The best thing about these highlights was the clearly envious tone in Purple Peter Bell’s voice when Oscar took that mark on the half back flank in the third quarter “Ohhhhh he’s got some lovely hands...”

Agree, with Oscar and Schoey in we have added flexibility to cover all contingencies - good move, Simmo.
