JK if fit or Waterman

Would have liked to give JK extra week so is ready to smash finals but cant afford to lose next game. Also if our young dumb little brother can find a way to beat the pies will make our life a lot easier.

This is Freo we're talking about. If they have an opportunity to make our lives hard, then they'll go for it and damn the consequences. I reckon another 100pt thrashing is on the cards.

It won't have anything to do with making our lives hard, I don't think they could get near Collingwood even if they wanted to.

Our mids were soundly beaten yesterday.

I think they had an off day. Combine that with Gawn giving Lycett a trouncing and our rotations being affected early once Darling went down and the result is not surprising.

Our small forwards did well in the circumstances, especially Cripps. I agree Lecras hasn't had a great last month. He didn't get much of it yesterday and only had the one tackle but 9 contested possies, 4 clearances, 80%+ efficiency and a timely goal is enough to hold his spot. Liam Ryan had a poor outing but doesn't deserve to be dropped for one bad game.

I'd back this side in for another week. But if Darling doesn't get up then we are in real strife. Harris Andrews is in AA form and will towel up any rookie we throw at him. Hopefully he will be good to go.

At the game and I thought Sheed was our best mid to half time. Played well. We need to keep him in the team. He is building. Not far from a 30 possession 3 goal game. Makes one or two errors a game, but they just happen to come at a bad time. I think everyone else forgot the other 25 great decision he made w ball in hand.

We need JK back. Will instantly straighten us up. With JK and JD in the same team it is even easier for Ryan and Rioli to wreak havoc up forward.

Venables is also visibly building. He hit a few packs at pace and was very close to bursting out with incredibly clean pick ups. Could be a star with a another pre season in the gym and on the track.

we cannot take brisbane lightly. need to win at all costs. last time they ruined our top 4 chances with that ******* polkinghorne goal.

bring kennedy in for spurts.

darling should be good to go
I swear to god Jack Darling kicked a goal just before that, but the umpire said it was touched.

Kennedy will not play this week was visible limping yesterday, and from his own mouth said he hoped he was ready for week 1 finals

And refused to even review it, had he done so we could've set up and prevented them going straight down the guts for Polkinghorne's goal.

I was furious.

This is going to be a very tough game to win in gabba with an improving lions side.
Hopefully Darling can play.
I like to see Waterman come in for Venables. You know Waterman will work hard when he's in.
Venables is just not having enough impact.

One good thing, is we will know by Saturday night, exactly what we have to do, ya never know, results might go our way, and we may be able to make some 'late changes' and take it a little easier.

I don't think we'll take more than the usual one emergency over to Brisbane. East Perth have a must-win game on Saturday and we really need them playing finals so our reserve players are match fit through September.

I like your optimism but no way Collingwobble are going to lose to the floggers. Without exaggeration, Fremantle are worse than a WAFL side at the moment. Everything about them is actually astonishing. They can't move the ball, their fitness is poor, their decision making is woeful. It's a great case study for sport scientists around the world really.
