Happy with the change, that leaves us just Sheed and Wellingham away from a best 22?

I remember sitting 1 win & 2 losses after being pumped by Freo in round 3 last year and wanting wholesale changes for round 4, Simmo backed the boys in and we never looked back. I'm hoping the boys repay Simmo this week.

I HATE being expected to win in a derby though, we've come unstuck so many times in this situation before.

Firstly I wouldn't say he is completely unprepared. He is the most prepared for it out of all our 2015 draftees and even more prepared than draftees from 2014 and 2013, Karpany is a prime example of how far back he is from Cole.

I get what point your putting across, if he has a mare it could kill the kids confidence which we don't want but if we need mids on stand by, which we might do depending on injuries from the Hawks game, there are not to many other AFL listed mids at WAFL level putting there case up for selection right now apart from Hutchings, he is the only regular one over the 3 rounds that has kept his name in selectors minds and was arguably stiff not to get a call up against Hawthorn.

Cole would surely have to be a better option than Colledge is

Yeah but IMO he is not prepared enough to play.

A few NAB cup games does not make you a starter at AFL level at 18yo.

He will get his games but we are not so desperate as to need a 18yo against Freo.

could put his hand up for the tigers game with a good showing for ep this week. I think its worth blooding him in (if he is good at wafl) before shaz returns and the spots tigten up.

Thought he was actually ok in the ruck. Not great forward (which is the clear difference with Sinclair). If he'd taken that mark and kicked the goal I reckon most people would've been happy-ish with his game.

Heard Butler on 6PR on the way home and he basically said Masten is crucial to structure due to his running ability and disposal. Doesn't need to rest forward or back and provides massive link-up capability to th eteam - he was always going to be the in.

I suspect this gives us the option to throw Jetta and/or Yeo forward more.
I know, I'm just trying to be a good sponsor.

I really like Lycett (but he does smell)

Hopefully our guys don't expect it to be any easier just because they're missing a midfielder.

They still have superstar forward Chris Mayne so I don't think we'll get complacent.
