We cant keep playing Schofield, McKenzie, McGovern and Hurn in the same backline its stupid. To tall, too slow and no rebound. Did we learn nothing last year about the success of quick ball movement into our forward line? Not to mention Freo's only tall forward is 100 years old.

Lycett is averaging 10 touches and 15 hitouts a game after two. Yes a goal or two would be nice, but we have a potent forward line (minus Hawks game), so that its not essential just yet. Given he's played 30 career games, and shown a lot to like, I think we'll give him a lot more time, and deservedly so.

It's hard for Nic Nat to dominate Hawthorn because our midfield has been getting smashed, he can't do a second effort if the ball is pinged from the contest by Hawthorn before he gets a chance. There are honest questions about the setup at clearances for the team in general. Another thing to note are that Hawthorn are a very physical and drilled team. They don't let him get runs at things, they always body him and restrict his run and ability to get into the contest. When the team is getting flogged it's hard for anyone to look good, and yes he's part of making sure we don't get flogged, but the team in general needs to lift as well.

Yes agree. One should not undersell just how smart and well drilled Hawks can be against different oppositions strength, ours being NicNat firing and JK kicking goals which they seem to manage nullifying quite effectively.

I will reserve my judgement until after this weekend before I will say Western Bulldogs = Hawthorn? Also Hawks were smarting over having lost to Geelong. They may go into the Bulldogs with a different mindset seeing they beat us so convincingly.
