Rankine and Rachele have combined for 12 CBA's across the first two rounds.

King is spot on here. Surely the bigger question should be that if Rankine looked so good in the midfield in RD 1 - why did Nicks massively reduce his midfield minutes in round 2?

That was my point so King should be asking why did Rankine's midfield minutes greatly decrease from RD1 not why didn't he get more midfield minutes because Rankine played predominately as a midfield and rested forward in the first week. And Rachele and Soligo played predominately midfield in the first 8 weeks of last year, understandably Soligo hasn't due to his limited preseason but Rachele hasn't got a look in for the first few games when you would expect his minute to increase from last year.

Berry needs to be dropped, absolute vanilla player, too slow with the ball, no creative flair, poor disposal, and totally unbalances the side. Taylor is a far better and more promising option -- why hasn't he been given even just one game to test himself?

Smith is a shell of his former self. Nankervis again a better option.

Murphy is a total non-entity. Cook is a better option.

It was probably because our forward line looked completely unable to score without him. Fair enough in a wet game, but even when dry, if the talls drop it, there's no one decent to crumb half the time. Like the player in murphy's position

Hopefully it means Murphy is out and frees up midfield time for Rash, Ranks and Peds.

But I suspect it means Peds is out!

You know what, Laird to play the Murphy role might work. He’s more of a natural ball winner than Murphy so if he’s pushes up the ground he will win more of the ball. He’s a better tackler and is likely to rack up more defensive pressure.

He’s not as good a kick though and given Murphy doesn’t kick goals we won’t lose anything there.

Plus it gets Murphy out of the team.

1) he's never played forward

Is it just me, or do others get frustrated that the majority of our high draft picks have to do an 'apprenticeship' in the SANFL before being given a shot, where other clubs just bring them straight into the team?

I'm not convinced that we'd pick a Harley Reid type and not have him wasting away in the SANFL for a year or so.

or do the apprenticeship playing as a fwd pocket, where they're in and out the side cause the position is foreign to them.

The obvious selection of Smith is damming. He has been our worst player (or close to the worst player) both games. His disposal and decision making in the first game in particular was awful...that kick to a man 10 metres out in the Suns game exemplified how far he has fallen. If he was a first or second year player he would have been dropped without any thought. But no. Given him the 250th...play a player short once again, and have yet another week of not developing a junior....

He was great at intercepting but still shocking with disposals.
He’s never been good a kicking but always looks good on paper. Fantastic fantasy league player.

And when occasionally he was tagged as a HBF, he went to crap and couldn’t handle it.

Plus he can’t hit the broad side of a barn either.
