Agree about the Crouches. They are not the solution and I certainly wouldn't be offering Brad an inflated contract.

In fact I'd offer a contract that I knew would make him leave.

We need the courage to cut our losses, the sooner the better.

It’s more adding to crouch brothers. ATM it’s them and Sloane playing majority minutes. I would move Brad to HFF and move him in with other players. That is where crows are failing atm. They need about 8 solid mids to ensure intensity is high for full game not for small periods.

Atkins and Lynch would be the first players I would trade. Those two do not fit the crows structure atm.

Actually giving the forward line some more thought, the set up I would absolutely love to see this season (though this is for the back half of the season) is:

Crocker - HH/Frampton* - Davis
Stengle - Fogarty - McAdam.

It does lack a player who is capable of rolling through the midfield, though I do reckon Davis (and McAdam in due time) might be able to go on the wing, but I reckon that would be a difficult to defend set up.

*Mainly just a body to compete in the air in the forward line and ruck when need be.

You're looking at 189 cm/89 kg as the cut-off point.

That's the height listed by Adelaide. That said, height does vary throughout the day and also elevation/shoes etc plays a role.

Brad was recruited as a mid, we play him in the midfield. The only one failing Brad is Brad.

He's now 26. His body has failed him with injuries but he is not the dominant midfielder he should be and the type we need.
He panics and his disposal efficiency is average. He just doesn't hurt teams.

This isn't a question about how many mids we need for a game its about the mids we have.....and what we have doesn't cut the mustard.

Time to move on.

Sorry, but I have zero faith in either Frampton or Himmelberg. Neither are, or are ever likely to be, AFL standard.

I don't know how close Worrell is, but he's the next tall I want to see playing in our forward line.

Himmelburg is going to be delisted end of year.
Frampton is break glass not up to it type. Angus Graham.

Option B is what most other teams do... though they generally try to time it so that the B-ruckman is up against another B-ruckman, which is not what Fogarty faced last night.
