Because they're not going to be in our future premiership side. Everything needs to be done to get there.

Interesting Nicks mentioned Andy McPherson in his presser. Kid has talent, Kelly is injured..... Why the hell not.

Names have been getting mentioned left, right and centre. We still need to see a strong decision made that shows we’re amidst meaningful change. I know you disagree, but I only easy decisions thus far.

Hartigan - injury hampered preseason, currently replaced with our lowest draft pick for years, playing the role that had him recruited at 6. Genuine test comes when McAsey is completely cooked or injured.

Gibbs - 6th dropping or something like that and was putrid in preseason and round 1. Of concern is that he shouldn’t have been selected in the first place. Test is failed if we ever see him again in the 1s. 3 names have been mentioned by club employees recently, Sholl, Hamill and McPherson, all 3 must get a crack before Gibbs returns to the back half.

Player X - shouldn’t have gotten his first extension into 2019. Where he has played, from wing through to deep back, featured no rookie type players being selected ahead of him. Being an emergency just to look after his ego is a concern. If he’s not going to cover a late out, you can still name another player, play them in the scratch and not select them either if there’s a late out. Test is failed if he plays a single game this year for the same reason Gibbs shouldn’t be seen again.

We’ve not made any not easy decisions yet. Plenty of opportunities coming up, let’s see if we’ve got the coaching group to do it.

Exactly, if our experience was significantly less, you must take notice. We’ve got the worst culture in the league, we shouldn’t be receiving similar levels of support to other clubs. That we do, suggests we don’t have a problem. There’s been worse footy teams, probably still a couple this year, but not worse ‘clubs’, our’s needed to have been sent a strong message to force change. End result, “see, no worse than Tigers, we’re on the right track, ignore the agitators, what, macca is one, ****ing temperamental soul that one, ignore him too, no, better yet, scorch earth him, send a message to the rest”.

Massive failed opportunity.

I don't think people who pledged did so because they don't care about admin, indeed some of the loudest detractors here have done so.

I want change and I pledged my money, and I've expressed my displeasure to the CEO and certain board members personally.

Ever wondered why he got delisted? Not going to have a magical transformation with us.

I’m with you, but the culture of youth playing 1 game and being dropped needs to stop. He shouldn’t have been selected, Davis should not have been dropped. But the corner must be turned at some point and I’m saying it needs to be now and Keays can be the first ever beneficiary in a bit of the trust and faith thst we show for experienced players that are injured or performing like shit.

The press conference was promising, Nicks was visibly unhappy and highlighted the significant lack of fight in the team praising no one. That's step 1, step 2 needs to be to put those words into actions. If we drop Keays and Crocker (which I wouldn't be completely against but I'd be dropping Seedsman and Atkins first) but brings in Gibbs then nothing has changed. If any of Schoenberg, Hamill, Scholl and Butts come in, then, at least, there'll be something to be happy about.

Is that how far we've fallen? Are these 2 failed players really the best alternatives, outside of the 22 who played last night? Talk about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

Don't get me wrong, changes need to be made, and players need to be dropped after their insipid efforts last night, but Gooch & Dots are not the answer.

We need to get a win under the belt. Winning creates positivity and this group needs a win to experience that feeling..yes we are rebuilding but we need to get a win so Maybe selecting a few experienced players is the way to go for the next 2 weeks or so.
McAsey needs a run in reserves to touch the footy.. he's not ready.

It’s a start, but I‘ll be surprised if we go younger unless forced by injury for next week. Kelly out injured and a debutant in is neutral to me It shouldn’t be difficult to play Sholl or Hamill ahead of Gibbs or Mackay. A first level step forward is dropping a Rat or Murphy type for a debutant or Davis type. Next level is Seed, Kelly types being dropped for kids. Nirvana is a Lynch or Laird being sent back and not just because a Sloane type returns from injury. But where we as a club effectively say to everyone in the industry, “we’re going with Davis instead of Lynch this week”.

The mix of the midfield is a massive problem. Matt Crouch is either the in and under midfielder or out.

They need either Himmelberg or Frampton as a target.

They need to stick with McAsey, Fogarty and Doedee and fast track a young midfielder in to the team (Schoenberg?).

Get rid of Keays and Crocker. Dead wood at AFL level and with no reserves team a waste of a spot.

And Nicks should drag Tex the next time he goes up one handed in a contest. He did it last year too. Obviously has in his head just to “make a contest” but needs to do that by showing intent and who knows, he might even mark one.

People can't say play the kids, then moan when we get thrashed. It has to be done.

It should of been accelerated last year, instead of giving guys like Douglas Betts and Jacobs games with zero impact.

McAsey got absolutely toweled up last night in defence. But what are you gonna do? Bring hartigan back in? Sure hartigan probly would of played slightly better, but we just need to get games in the kids.

Jones copped alot of flack last night, but once again what do you expect? Not even playing his natural position and looked so far off the pace, but when your a skinny kid that's played sub 10 games, that's what you'll get. He showed more than enough in the SANFL last year that he's certainly worth persisting with.

Don't care who the ins and outs are, get games in the kids.
Have an even better draft hand by clearing out players with value that have showed they aren't game changes, ( crouch brothers, laird) and remember these shit times when we are a decent team again.
