Also, Fog only needs 15 touches to match Lynch’s 2021 output. If a mark is taken 50 out I know who I’d want kicking.

there is also the hugely important issue of one being young and with upside, in a year where we are supposedly rebuilding.
I would much prefer Fog replace Frampton. Would offer much more.

Well he's definitely not a forward, so if he can't be turned into a midfielder then where does he play at AFL level?
Hang on a minute, you argued with me that Fogarty was a clone of Taylor Walker (a specialist forward)when I said Fogarty wasn't a center half forward.
Have you changed your tune or was that just arguing for arguing's sake?

I just read on AFL.com that Matty Crouch is now listed as 4-6 away from his return from this lingering groin injury.

Lots of clear air for guys like Berry, McHenry and Schoenberg to start upping their rotations. Fingers crossed we get a look at Pedlar soon as well.

Don't forget Hately.

I'll put good money on it that Fogarty does make it as a forward at either our club or another at AFL level. Your dislike of him is really bizzare, given he has the tools to be an elite player.

I would take Fogarty everyday of the week ahead of lynch in the team given the current state of our list.

Ten posts in an hour, Scorpus then ..............Crickets.

What happened 🤔?

It’s been a very tough couple of weeks for Scorpus, Spackler and Troll-lite 😁.

Just waiting for Vader to respond. I made the last comment.

If the mark is taken at 50, then you want Fog taking a shot at goal. If the mark is 60-70m out, you want Lynch passing it into the F50.

That's the point... Fog is not a good replacement for Lynch.

Fogarty is a poor man's Walker... in the same way that Walker is a poor man's Modra. Fogarty is a poor forward, but that's seemingly his best position. If Walker goes out, then I have no argument with Fogarty coming in.

... but it's not Walker going out. It's Lynch... and there is no way Fog should be replacing Lynch.

Fun Facts with Grotto

Tex's best goal haul versus North, is 6.5 on a sunny Sunday arvo back in 2015 @ Adelaide Oval.

It remains his second best Points scored v any team. He has kicked 7.1 v Lions in 2015 as well, most goals he has ever kicked in a game.

First photo is Tex after he kicked 6.5 against North in 2015 just after he’d been named Captain. The second was last Friday night.

If you want to replace Lynch with a hard running HFF-type player, then I wouldn't have an issue. If you want to replace him with a slow, unfit, lumbering tall forward, then I have a huge issue.

You can make your case without calling a player “unfit” when you have precisely zero basis for that aspersion.

You lost me at Waker is a poor man's Modra....Tex was tracking fine until he did his ACL, that he's still been able to eke out a pretty decent career is testament to the bloke's willpower..the bloke's a Champion of the club and I'm sick of people throwing s**t at him.

I'd be careful making bold statements about Fogarty just yet too, I'm off his bandwagon and he needs to lift but be in no doubt the talent is there.

Who’s troll-lite?
The Board Member from Pt Macdonnell.

Spackler is a first class troll. Whilst 90% of his posts are negative towards the Crows, he does it with humour and he occasionally throws in a Crows friendly comment which makes you think maybe he is a Crows fan.

Scorpus is a solid B grader. I believes he understands footy but it’s all about the “hits” Not as much humour as Spackler but still quite entertaining.

Troll-lite is just batshit crazy. Every troll is repeated on numerous occasions, no humour, just an old man yelling at the moon. Check his posts before and after our first three matches. Numerous posts before the match about our crazy selections then after a win, zip, zilch zero. After a loss, giddy up, the posts come thick and fast.

Lynch shouldn’t be in the side, we should be playing Fog instead. It staggers me when selectors can’t see this.
Agree Lynch shouldn't be in the side. Worrell should be imo. Put Worrell on a wing and interchange Berry and Schoenberg off half forward. I haven't seen enough from Fogarty to warrant a spot. Sorry, I just don't see it. Maybe as a replacement for Frampton but would rather Berg for Frampton.

Didn't one of our coaches say Fogarty's fitness and time trial results were among the best he'd seen for a key forward? Think it was an assistant like Burns or Rahilly

Fan of Fog too but I watched the replay of last game..he was one of our best... vital in many connections to the forwards.. stays on wing... keeps current form..stays in.. watch it

Young forward Darcy Fogarty shaved time off his personal best in the 2km time trial and has benefited in training from a significantly improved fitness base. The 21-year-old lost 2kg during the off-season training with Taylor Walker, Tom Lynch and Kieran Strachan and has been highly competitive on the track.
