Makes all those extra picks look a bit silly if they keep playing like this all season. Didn't they have a good start last year and fade away after a few rounds?
I bet they are glad they traded out pick 11 to geelong then as my understanding is the AFL can withdraw the extra picks at their discretion. With GC playing like this and if they continue to it may happen (but the AFL can't take away what is already spent)

Don't feel sorry for Nicks. He asked for that effort by not holding even 1 senior player accountable. He's as much the cause as the players at this point. He's enabling them. Hopefully he turns around his involvement this week.
He gave then a week to respond & was let down.

I doubt he will be feeling so generous come this week's selection.

Butts in
McAsey to forward.
Scholl in
Schoenberg in

Tex B Crouch and Atkins out

Scholl for Rat a good chance unless Nicks completely shits the bed. I'd rather Matt go than Brad, who can play HFF a bit better. I like the Butts/McAsey thing, but Tex is going nowhere, but we could go taller again up there by dropping Murphy or a kid. Realistic these changes, we just have a different Crouch preference.

Reading mixed reviews here on Crocker. I thought he looked unfit and appears to play selfish. He didn't move the ball on quick enough in transition, taking set shots well outside his range etc.

Not sure what some are seeing in him. I'd have Davis, McAdam and Gallucci (yes) ahead of him and Stengle when available. Let's see 100% if these guys are going to make it rather than play Crocker, seems a waste to pick him.

Let's apply the same strategy to all of them. Crocker's had 2, gets 2 more and decision on him can be made.

Wow.

You beat Weagles comfortably, then get back 2 key players.

The scoreboard is going to make for nasty reading this weekend. We will be lucky to stay within 100 points.

Ex-Crows more likely to kick more goals than current Crows.

I would love that because I love watching my team dominate and the percentage will be handy though I think with all the media pressure you guys will come out and offer something better than last week. Funnily enough though there seems to be as many Crows supporters wanting an absolute pantsing as Lions supporters.

Yes, and no. Rehn got #52 because he was the last player selected on our original list.

Most players request a change at the end of their 1st season, when more senior players retire and other numbers become available. Rehn was an exception to the rule - he chose to keep his high number, wearing it as a badge of honour.
Loved Rehn. Would still be my #1 Crows ruckman by the length of the straight.

I thought the pre-season Crocker looked the goods. Worked hard, had good forward craft. Regular season Crocker has not impressed nearly as much.

Of course he was let down, he handed himself that on a platter.

Pretty much. He ignored history and gave another chance to a group who has showed plenty of times that they do not deserve another chance.

Do you reckon Lyons, Cameron and CEY will be ready for us this week?

Midfield will be annihilated again but this time it will be orchestrated by 2 blokes who we thought weren’t worth keeping.
I'd be surprised if CEY plays.

You believe him? Tex is woefully out of form, 2nd ruck isn't working, he needs to go based upon any degree of team first mentality. Someone asks about that and mentions viable replacements, you're caught, it's a direct question with direct answer required. But you have no intention of dropping Tex. What is the easiest out? What can't be disputed by anyone even if it's not true?
I would drop Lynch for Frampton. Put Tex at FF, Frampton CHF/2nd Ruck & Fog HF/ couple mins in the guts

I noticed after the last 2 games that Nicks has mentioned that 'The kids' were great in the middle when they went in after half time. Kind of sounded like he let Godden pick the midfield setup in the first half but then he over ruled him at half time and forced Jones and Ned in there. Why aren't we just playing them in there the whole game if Nicks is impressed by them?
The Nicks chooses the setup and Nicks game plan is woeful. He is probably better going back to the KISS method. Aim to win certain stats and build on positives. Due to the shorten games Nicks is playing minimal players through the midfield. I thinks he is playing the wrong experience players and not enough of their talented players.

The way I see it he should not be getting a shot at it before Davis and McAdam. He's had his shot and been delisted from an AFL list then comes here and is being given a chance ahead of these two.

Ridiculously harsh to drop Davis after one game then a pandemic.

I dont care who plays but can we give Jones a bit of a run in the middle. Even McHenry?
From what i saw the same old lineups are clearly not working.
I actually just want to see Poholke through the middle as an inside mid as a priority. He's a strong body who understands his structures and is completely starved for opportunity. Sure he might not be as talented as other mids, but a lot of time desire trumps talent in elite sport. And right now we're not seeing much desire in our starting rotation.

Sure play guys like Jones and Ned as well, but as a straight swap for an underperforming mid. Poholke is the one who needs big minutes for me. He's earned a chance to get his block of games in the position he was drafted to play.

My spider senses are starting to think Nicks was a bad appointment. Especially when talk is about getting him some help in coaching. Why does this always happen to Adelaide.

He also said that once the list was reduced and players swapped into the lower numbers, he had heaps of spare room next to his locker so he could lay all his gear out in comfort.
