I am also very keen to see Murphy try another position. He has the work ethic, defensive side and courage.
Put him back pocket and have a look at him.
I see your point, I just prefer Matt personally as I really think Brad wants out and isn't interested. But either/or at the moment, neither is playing to their best.I would drop Matt before Brad. Brad has more flexibility where Matt doesn’t.

First of all how often would the 4 be on oval anyway . Every time saw play go into 50 in last 2 games if we were lucky had 1 of Fog or walker but usually one of short people were suppose to out mark or bring to ground against 2 or 3 of there bigger defenders. You want a forward line with Walker, Lynch, Fogarty and Himmelberg? That’s a great treacle tart but not great recipe for success in 2020.
McAdam should be in for Lynch.

It would be the single worst idea weve had.First of all how often would the 4 be on oval anyway . Every time saw play go into 50 in last 2 games if we were lucky had 1 of Fog or walker but usually one of short people were suppose to out mark or bring to ground against 2 or 3 of there bigger defenders.
Secondly regarding slower then tell me how many leads up direct passes due to the speed of McHenry, Murphy,Keays, Crocker or Jones did they take and how many forward tackles or forward pressure stopping run out of defence did they stop.
Lets get some targets and let us not have 2 nd ruck embarrassment and hope we get some clearances to make it work.
and Tex at CHB - on HipwoodSo to illustrate how far off it Blight can be.... He's suggested bringing Gibbs and Mackay back this week.
Doedee at FFand Tex at CHB - on HipwoodOnce Hipwood started running, Tex wouldn't get within 50 m of him!
Still, Tex can't play at CHF or in the ruck, so....
So to illustrate how far off it Blight can be.... He's suggested bringing Gibbs and Mackay back this week.
Had a big lunch... like your Friday nights...what was his reasoning?
Suspensions incoming. Didn't the AFL ban tackle drills?
I did think that myself......Suspensions incoming. Didn't the AFL ban tackle drills?
Groups of 8 is ok or something like that.Suspensions incoming. Didn't the AFL ban tackle drills?

Just read the AFL.com article, it's 9.Groups of 8 is ok or something like that.
Tough talk/effort just starting now? What was wrong with starting at Round 1? [emoji849]
And play them where? So to illustrate how far off it Blight can be.... He's suggested bringing Gibbs and Mackay back this week.
Reading those draft notes he looks like yet another victim of the Crows, play a kid anywhere but where he is suited.I like Murphy, though I genuinely doubt he's anything other than a defensive small forward. Seems a bit in the Kelly mould of you know he won't take anything for granted but is on a timer just due to how limited of a player he is. Good depth for a club competing for a premiership, but probably more of a cultural selection than performance for a club trying to rebuild. I'm definitely more comfortable with rewarding bravery/selflessness then I am a lot of other aspects (i.e. how hard they train) in these positions.
Still, moving Laird into the midfield would allow Sholl game time, which is important as he's another promising half back/outside midfielder, and I would be using this time to retool our defensive line. Also, considering how pus Laird has been, a change to the routine/different responsibilities might just spark some life back into him. Personally, I expect it to require a fresh start at a different club, but we don't have anything to lose by trying it.
Gibbs seems and has seemed devoid of confidence for a long timeNicks was also happy with Gibbs publicly after Round one then dropped him. Don't believe everything you hear.
