Mrouch is not getting the ball/clearances & is putting little pressure on his opponent.Dropping M Crouch is ridiculous - our midfield is shallow and sucks, and we’re dropping one of the only quality players we have.
Get some structure and support around him - all of our first choice mids rotation are going to look sh*t at the moment, because we have no run and movement around the field.
It’s a statement to drop him, but a mistake. Should’ve dropped Lynch instead, or Crocker/Keays.
Why Crouch and not Laird, or Lynch or any of the other front runners?
At least Matt gets his hands dirty and puts in.

One of our best but he can't win one.Not sure what dropping M Crouch does for our clearances. He is one of our best clearance mids.
But not unhappy he is out.
Poholke needs to grab this chance he won't get another one to play the inside mid role he is best suited to.

Good call a he isn't running to offer an option like he usually does.Interesting to note that Crouch only played 71% of the game last week (Lowest in the team). In a game of shortened quarters, that suggests he’s really not fit. Suggests to me him getting dropped is more of a fitness thing than a discipline thing.
Gooch out for 9 weeks with an Achilles, which really sucks.Really sorry for Jordan Gallucci. I think he is a capable player. I saw us win at the SCG a couple of years ago. I was at ground level in his forward pocket and he was nippy and clever. I thought there were terrific signs, but he just hasnt come on. Who knows why. I guess the same can be said for Miles Poholke. Perhaps both were overshadowed by our strong midfield - at the time - so they didnt have the chance to develop over time in the big time. And now its their chance, they havent had the right preparation - and we used to be so good at developing players!

Jarrod Lyons, 10 + clearances[emoji38].Probably a big positive just because it'll add someone who is willing to work defensively in clearances.
It's hard to get worse than the dross Crouches and Sloane have dished up. After all they're a key reason we're on average losing clearances by double digits each game (noting the next worse side is at -5).
Tom Hawkins wouldn't get a kick in div 3 by that criteriaIs there anyone down there who can help Tex lose 10kgs?
He is too big for AFL. If he lost weight he would be damaging player.
Surely that is a mistake?Crows site says 9 months
It won't be because of them. They will all kill us.Just watch the former crow boys destroy us![]()
Hopefully they play him as a midfielder this time!will this be Poholke's first real crack in the guts during an AFL game?
I suspect the 3 ex Crows will kick more goals than the whole Adelaide team... Probably CC will on his own.Just watch the former crow boys destroy us![]()
Torn achilles is a yearSurely that is a mistake?
Doesn't normally take that long.
Probably ruin his season though given it's shortened.
Huh?Seems to me the same bullshit which has gone on for a while of certain players being immune to being dropped and certain players out of favour at selection. Seems like the same people that influenced Pyke's selections are now influencing Nicks. Can we hire a coach that's his own man? That's right we don't hire them. Sorted.
Tom is perfect size for AFL, Tex has been too big for too long. His body can't handle his weight.Tom Hawkins wouldn't get a kick in div 3 by that criteria
Buggar!Torn achilles is a year
He really doesn’t...and saying he gives effort is not a sufficient rationale for selection. This twitter style pile on of Murphy is ridiculous.
I dont know who started it but its just nuts.
He deserves his spot.
Its pretty disgusting actually.
Godden said our midfield will be much younger than we are used to.will this be Poholke's first real crack in the guts during an AFL game?
He is still pretty young. He really doesn’t...and saying he gives effort is not a sufficient rationale for selection.
Whether he’s being played out of position or other factors are at play he simply hasn’t shown enough to say he’s worth persevering with.
