No use having a pressure forward if your mids are losing the battle from the get go.
Get some other range players in the mix for the front six and see how that looks.

He's clearly not good enough to be a mid. Not sure he played much more as a defender than a forward as a kid. I think we tried him at both and left him where he actually showed promise?

He goes up for contests when he should be on the ground. Our delivery is arse but he’s still one less Soldier at arms in the circumstances. Play McAdam at see his range.

Eh, considering how genuinely limited Murphy is in this case, I get why we've done it.

He's the type who only has an AFL career if he can fill a niche. Small forward right now is a niche. He looks like he'll pretty much follow the Knight/Petrenko career path at the moment, in that he's got a spot until someone younger shows up who either fulls said niche, or is a highly talented kid.

There are a lot of players I'll criticise for not playing in their ideal position, Gallucci, Jones, McHenry, Milera etc. Murphy however has benefited from it. It's got him 20 games he would have never played otherwise.

I wouldn’t object to Gibbs and DMac being recalled if, and only if, they were replacing experienced players. Balance of youth and experience needs to be kept.

Thats nothing more than a reflection of how disgusted I am with our senior players.

I wouldn't think bringing in those 2 would help much. Particularly Gibbs.

He needs to be utilised as both Crouches and Sloane find it hard to foot target in traffic. We are hobbled as the middle three are enthusiastic and can win it but spill it or burn it.

And where did he play for us in the SANFL that saw us upgrade him to our rookie list? Tip : it wasn't the forward pocket.

Once that was Gibbs, sure, but his kicking has fallen off a cliff at Adelaide.

You may be right. He seemed to play his best football for us in the middle in the first half of 2018. I'm just not sure that is the direction the club wants to go in now

Personally I think the they should be prioritising getting more midfield time into Jones first
