I don't think many "hate" him, but you still need a forward to pose a forward threatMurphy wont be dropped when Stengle comes back.

Sorry meant 2 (un)forced changes from last 2 weeks. Should have been more.I wouldn't call either Matt, or Seeds forced changes. About as entrenched as it comes in this club, moreso than Murphy or Keays.
There is no harm in giving Keays more game to save his career. Make the call in 3 more games, especially as he could find a niche as a run with player. I'm comfortable with giving Murphy a role no one is going to succeed in this year (i.e. don't waste a good player there), and Lynch is pretty low on the drop list. I'll be very excited for the day we abandon the bullshit that is the linkman role, but it's a while off.
Walker not being dropped is the only thing that stops this from getting a 10/10 from me this week with changes.
Could've easily been sure, but we've played more players in the first 4 weeks of the season than we have for almost 4 years.Sorry meant 2 (un)forced changes from last 2 weeks. Should have been more.

I'd say the way we've been selecting for the most part it'll be one of the first two.4 pressureless forwards isn't good but gut feel one of Lynch, Tex or Fog won't be playing next week.
Thing i like about Murph is he offers something different. Goes about it in his own way. You need that in a team.Murphy wont be dropped when Stengle comes back.

Agree.I disagree It was the right call at the time.
We finally start seeing us play some of our young guys and you want to bring back Lyons and CEY?
No thanks
No one has played well in the last 2 games. Pretty hard in the forward line when you dont see much of the ball.Based on?
They are not good figures at all - especially the last 2 games. I would like to see more from him but I dont know whether thats on him , Walker etc or Hart/Reilly

Yep he is in a midfield that suits his talents.I disagree, Lyons is just about the same player he was when he left here. He's just found a niche that he couldn't here because of Crouches and Sloane being very similar. I was also comfortable with us taking a cut price for him, just because I didn't really see a long future at Adelaide, I'm still comfortable with that.
It hasn't aged well though, as I could never have imagined Lyons outproducing (ok, not by much, and probably due to being in a good side) Brad Crouch. Shows how much we've fallen.
Still, I think we've lessened the chance of Jarryd getting 10+ clearances. Matt was really in his own league of terrible when it comes to our three main midfielders.
We are currently rebuilding our club from the ground up. There is worse things to reward than selflessness, effort and bravery.
Murphy won't survive long term, but we're probably waiting on the draft to truly replace him. The cupboard is rather threadbare at the moment.
The other key thing for me is that we've dropped 2 senior players..... And we didn't bring back any. Granted we don't have many to bring back, but it would've been easy to bring Gibbs or DMac, even Harto back in.
Keays appears to a fit guy who keeps running to the wrong spots... so playing him in a run with role on a ball magnet like Neale could be a great move.Keayes is my bet.
Play the man against the team that threw him out and give him an important role.
Might be just the kick he needs to reboot his career.
I hate that we never seem to do that but other teams do it to us all the time and our ex players seem to turn up with extra relish to punish us.
Like why not play Frampton against Port??
That's what I would do anyway.
So you are happy with his performances?Murphy wont be dropped when Stengle comes back.

Tex or Lynch.
Fog stays as is the future.
But we recruited Gibbs the midfielder who has no real point of difference. He's a bit taller, but isn't a contested marking type. Can play half back, but we've got plenty of those. Oh, and needed 4 years at around $600k whereas Lyons would accept 3, this being the last of those, at half that. So I was wrong, there is a point of difference.
Brown to NealeI do wonder who they sit on Neale. I'd run Jones with him, or Neddy. Tough ask for the kids but it'll give them a huge learning opportunity to see what one of the best mids in the game does
Godden said our midfield will be much younger than we are used to.
Also said we will tag Neale.
You can't knock the kids effort, but it just hasn't worked for him. Mind you he has been at the wrong end of the ground.Murphy wont be dropped when Stengle comes back.

What about Murphy? same size, speed and defensive pressure is Murphy's game. Murph might learn a thing or 2 as a bonus.Keays appears to a fit guy who keeps running to the wrong spots... so playing him in a run with role on a ball magnet like Neale could be a great move.
We need to try new things.
We would barely have 16 players to play a scratchy
Either move him or drop him.You can't knock the kids effort, but it just hasn't worked for him. Mind you he has been at the wrong end of the ground.
I do wonder if moving him back would work.
Not sure he has the same tank... though we could rotate 2 players given Neale has a huge tank. What about Murphy? same size, speed and defensive pressure is Murphy's game. Murph might learn a thing or 2 as a bonus.
