Yea, that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence, not so much that it was Poholke, just we're losing a lot of run and carry with Milera and Seeds out and haven't really replaced it at all. "Team balance" again becomes just a convenient excuse to use when dropping someone.

We look SLOW.

And why drop Poholke for one week to bring him back the next week!

Sloane, Crouches, Greenwood, Poholke, CEY, Knight is a sloooow midfield and combined with Hartigan, Talia, Keath and Kelly in defense.

Our run and carry players are Atkins, Knight, Mackay plus Smith and Gibbs.

Keath and Hartigan have average disposal. Sloane isn't quick. Brad isn't quick.

We are relying on too few players to move the ball. Plenty of contested ball winners though

I get that Poholke had a great half, but jesus, that's a shocking call.

Speedy outside mid for a mid paced inside midfielder, knowing full well pace has become even more important with the centre clearance set up. It's like our selectors want us to lose.

If you wanted Poholke in, something else had to budge.

We were slow on top of the ground last week (ball movement was fast, not the players), and we've replaced Milera with Poholke?! Gallucci, Jones or even Sholl HAD to come in.

Ratten/St Kilda will not allow us speed of ball movement through the middle, and we need a burst of speed by foot. I can't see a single player on our list who can provide that.

This is a bad selection.

Just disgusting treatment of Gallucci.

Hold him back last week so no chance of pressing claims. Honestly the state of these selectors
THIS

It's why guys like Otten and Wilson should tag team in the traveling emergency / held back role. They aren't going to be anything for us so it doesn't matter them missing.

Gallucci's development is critical.

I can only name one midfield type in the entire team who is quick, hard at it, and a great ball user.

Brodie Smith.

He will be tagged into oblivion and we'll enjoy four quarters of slowly missing 15m kicks under no pressure in the back half of the ground
