Not suggesting he should be a key defender. A Pearce should because it looks like Jonno will be injured. Ibbo can play loose and Hughes can play Shero's role and release him to the midfield. Let's face it a backline of Sheridan, Sutcliffe and Spurr has not worked once this year, particularly when they are asked to play one on one they are lost (and Footy 2016 class 101 is to spread Freo's defence, make them play one on one). They'll either fail to defend or fail to release the ball up the field.

I watched the academy match the AFL streamed the other month and Petrovski-Seton just moved so well with great delivery on both sides. All the club recruiters who they had come through the commentary box were licking their lips when he went near it. Not to say he was the best on the day, but he just did those things that you noticed.

Upgrade Smith Even. And that's just if we want a tall forward line. We could go smaller and give Ibbo a few games down there, he'd be better. Or even Sutty or Shero. Get Yarren in there when he's ready. Contrary to popular belief, there are options. Not many but there are and should be taken because Tabs is going nowhere. We have to look forward.
