Mundy for Fyfe (inj)
Ibbo for Johnno (inj)
Langdon for Ballas (inj)
Blakely for D Pearce (omitted)
Hughes for Sutty (omitted)
Collins for Tabs (omitted) *Collins backline, swing A Pearce up fwd
I like this but for GWS, imagine this line up create upset against GWS.

No, why in the world would you possibly drop him this week? What does playing Pearce forward achieve, clearly a defender, don't worry about winning the game, no chance anyway, give Pearce as much experience in his position as possible. Adelaide have three talls also, Dawson, Pearce and either Silvagni or Collins. Playing Pearce forward for this match makes no sense.

Just one man's opinion mike91 lol

Dawson on Jenkins
Collins on Tex
Ibbo on Lynch
Hughes on McGovern

Want to see how Collins and Hughes go.

Regarding A Pearce...yes don't disagree that he's better as a backman but getting some versatility in him as a utility surely wouldn't hurt as he's probably inclined to be more flexible position wise than Collins

De Boer will play against Adelaide.

So be it, I can't blame them for looking at a big body like DeBoer in the middle to minimise the damage, just keep adding the best of the kids each opportunity. Ross has made it very clear that Hughes and Blakley will get games soon and I think Langdon appears to have done everything asked of him when he returned to WAFL.

Unlikely to happen (7 changes) but...

B Spurr Dawson Ibbotson
HB Hughes Collins Tucker
C Weller Mundy Hill
HF Langdon A.Pearce Walters
F Mayne Pavlich Crozier
R Griffin Barlow Neale
I Blakely Grey Sheridan C.Pearce

That would be a very nervous and unfamiliar half backline, possibly in the future but too much too soon in IMO.

Any chance of Deluca coming in for Ballas this week? Haven't seen his name mentioned at all.
Kicked a couple of goals for Peel on the weekend.

Would like to see Langdon come back into the side but don't agree with calls that he should never have been dropped. Even in a rebuild, if the young guys don't perform they have to know that their place in the side isn't assured. He was pretty poor against North and from what I heard performed well last week.

Nah mate, he'd be close to last on the list getting a game in my opinion. Langdon will probably come in, or at least should.

Worst case

Johnson for Hughes
Mundy for Fyfe
Blakely for Neale
Langdon for Ballantyne

I think Collins or Silvagni need to come in to help do battle against Walker/Jenkins/Lynch as well but for who, I don't know.

Annoyed at this Swingman type talk for Pearce. Please, just play him as a defender and develop/make that position his own. None of this McPharlin switch hitting. Alex doesn't present well up forward and defenders on him just make it too easy.
Collins on Tex?! First gamer against one of the best one-on-one full forwards in the league.. You're joking right?

No Ibbo? A certainty imo.

Respect your opinion but again was just offering mine. Promoting flexibility offers options and still worth testing the waters...

You used McPharlin as an example...I'll use Pav...started as a backman early on but then moved forward. If it doesn't work it doesn't work. Clearly the pressing need is KPF's...so again, just another option. People have knocked Tabs...Ape injured...who else have we got currently???

Regarding Collins on Tex. Yeah he could get absolutely monstered but I'd still take that as a good development lesson for him. If this year is considered a write off then why not? He's one of our KPD prospects so test him out. He'll have to play on a player of Tex's quality at some point if wants to be best 22. Position aside, I don't see it as any different from like when Grey played 1 game on Wingard (one of the best 1on1 small fwds) in the last h&a rd last yr (and doing the job)

I think it is madness playing all younguns when we have no working game plan. Is Ross just gunna say go out there and get a kick?

We need to go out there with a simple doable game plan and s blend of youth and experience.

We can do both.

If we had a back 6 that looked like this:

SPurr Dawson Sutcliffe
Hughes Pearce Ibbtoson

We have a blend.
Sheridan can be released on to a wing

Yeh, I agree.

Not sure for who though, as I think they really want to bring Hughes as well.

The sooner Hughes plays the better, injury is the only thing that has held him back. Good intercept mark like Ibbo, surprisingingly aggressive contest for the ball - how could he possibly be a lesser selection than a out of form Sutcliffe.

Of course not.

There is a game plan in place but like anything it will take time for every one to understand it.

I am not sure why we need to cotton wool our youngsters so much. Sure, players will get monstered, out muscled and everything in between but that's footy. Can't all have it coming up peaches, bound to get some tough times in there somewhere as well.

Does Pearce play on Walker or Jenkins? Who ever he is going to learn a lot about brute strength and how to cope with it.

Hi guys, how is all of your unfortunate injuries going to affect Sheridan? Could he play a more defensive role in defence? Or could he potentially push up onto the wing and spend time in the midfield?

Cheers
