Out: Fyfe, Johnson, Taberner, D Pearce
In: Mundy,Ibbotson ,Collins, BlakelyUnlucky: Langdon
I would like to see A Pearce go forward for 5+ games and see how he goes. He did show a bit forward last year.

NO to Pearce playing forward. He looked very solid in defense yesterday and needs to stay there. We don't need to find a tall forward to be competitive this year.

Taberner to stay forward and Pearce to stay back PLEASE.

Cameron is pretty soft but ultimately Collins has one average game and people are jumping at the guy? He's been in an AFL environment for less than six months. Ultimately the rate we're going at, young guys deserve a break and some patronisation. Brady Grey showed on the weekend what good players we have managing bupkis in the WAFL, and Lachie Weller displayed the obvious to everyone: he should have played by about round 10 last season and every game then on.

Ultimately our backline is shit. I wouldn't go chucking them in against Adelaide's wicked talls, they'll get shamed, but playing maybe one against the Crows and then bringing in both of Sam Collins and Tanner. Those guys absolutely should be given 2-3 matches at least this year.

Spurr - Dawson - Smith
Silvagni - Pearce - Ibbotson
Hill - Mundy - Grey
Tucker - Walters - Weller
Suban - Pavlich - Hannath

R: Griffin - Neale - Barlow
I/C: Blakely - Collins - Hughes - Viv Michie... nah but really, **** I don't know, Ballantyne?

**** me any hypothetical team looks genuinely awful. Like, St Kilda bad.

I don't know why you're surprised: we're bottom of the league and a genuine wooden spoon chance, perhaps the favourite for the spoon (Essendon game will be telling).

Hopefully there's a one-in-generation forward in this years draft. Franklin/Cameron ilk.

So pretty much

Ibbo for Johnno
Mundy for Fyfe
???? for Ballantyne

???? = Blakely/Hughes/Langdon?

Don't think we really need to go back to Suban/Mzungu/DeBoer for the 'experience' factor when only one of the changes is going to be kid for veteran. I think Weller and Grey are contributing enough to match the contribution any of those guys would make. Both put more pressure on yesterday than, say, Suban has done all year.

How have the top up Bombers been going? Namely Hartley, Grimley and Dea?

Worth a look?

FB: Spurr, Smith, Ibbotson
HB: Collins, A Pearce, Sheridan
C: Hill, Mundy, Grey
HF: Weller, Taberner, Tucker
FF: Walters, Pavlich, Hannath
R: Griffin, Neale, Barlow

I/C: Blakely, de Boer, Sutcliffe, Langdon
EMG: Dawson, Mayne, Ballantyne

Might as well. Won't win many games this year (if any), and it'll be good in the long run to give the young kids some games.

Most number one picks are pretty good these days, except pussy Watts and mummy's boy Boyd. Weitering is already a very stable player and will end up one of the best key position players in the comp.

Unlikely to happen (7 changes) but...

B Spurr Dawson Ibbotson
HB Hughes Collins Tucker
C Weller Mundy Hill
HF Langdon A.Pearce Walters
F Mayne Pavlich Crozier
R Griffin Barlow Neale
I Blakely Grey Sheridan C.Pearce

Out Fyfe, Johnson, Tucker(he's had a taste, now to work harder to get back), Ballas-only if injured
In Silvani, Ibbo, Mundy, MDB(rewarding hard work... he just needs guidance to the plan)

Whats wrong with Silvani?. Why isn't he the first picked when we need a defender who can cover the bigs??. The last few times he has come in, I thought his disposal was great and he was great. .... he must not be following the plan or something....
With Silvani in it allows Ibbo to intercept and run(which he needs to learn... he just hesitates too much)

We have enough youth in there already .. Weller, Grey, Croz, Tabs, A Pearce, and Sheridan.......all less than 50 games..

If you just want to throw in ALL the youth at once, think of when we rested players last year and before.. I don't think they get as much out of those Chase your ass losses as they do in a structured/matured playing style with the mature players..
Think of how The hawks and Geelong bring in their youth..

Reality is Ross doesn't usually make more than about 2 changes in any one week, last week's three was an anomaly rather than the norm. So this week we know we have two forced changes (Fyfe, Johnson), possibly a 3rd in Ballas, and maybe a 4th in Walters if he gets done for the hit that Karl Langdon kept banging on about. There's no way he'll make any more changes IMO.

AND he won't bring in all young guys either, no way does he throw them to the wolves without some bigger experienced bodies around to protect them. Yes we'll still get our arses handed to us, but at least they won't get smashed from pillar to post.

So, assuming Mundy is ready to come back in, I think it will look something like this:

Out: Fyfe, Johnson, Ballantyne, Walters
In: Mundy, Ibbotson, Silvagni, deBoer

B: Spurr Dawson Ibbotson
HB: Sheridan PearceA Sutcliffe
C: PearceD de Boer Hill
HF: Grey Mayne Weller
F: Taberner Pavlich Crozier

R: Griffin Mundy Neale

I/C: Clarke Barlow Tucker Silvagni

Ugh...

Yes I like this line up the most logical.blakely and Hughes need another week just came back from injury.

I didn't say I like it particularly - most of these guys have shown, over a long period of time, that they're bog average AFL players at best (Mundy aside of course).

This is just what I believe they will do this week.

But if we are planning on rebuilding and provide good habit to young player that the way to go. Collins will be suit to GWS match, against Adelaide will be a bit too soon. I don't encourage first gamer to get a belting by opposition.

Out:
Fyfe (get 1000% before coming back)
MJ (might be the end this year)
Ballas (injured.. and hasn't done anything for a long time)

In:
Mundy
Ibbo
De Boer

The only other changes would be either Sutcliffe or Sheridan making way for Langdon or another youngster. Sutcliffe has been terrible so far this year.

You realise people long ago stopped listening to your horseshit right?

I actually agree with Miema. Smith will make a better forward than Taberner. Tanner attacks the ball a lot harder and is quicker. He has shown a lot more up forward then ever in defence.

Tanner actually did a decent job down back in the B-mantle v Port game in '15.

Your ins are far too old IP.

Alex Silvagni is 29 this year, surely we go with Collins instead?

And I'd like to see Ibbotson play another week in the WAFL and Connor Blakely get a run.

Mundy in, put Langdon back in, give him game time and let him develop. Who cares. Hughes train coming in would be swell also.
