What extra pick?... we couldn't pick a worse year to tank after trading next year's second rounder. That said a high draft pick will be nice.

I think you are referring to a priority pick, which used to be given out under a formula of wins (less than 5 from memory). That formula has now gone; a team can apply for a priority pick if they believe they deserve it. I think Brisbane and Melbourne applied without success. I can't see AFL house ponying up a bonus pick for us just because we have suddenly forgotten how to win.

As an aside I'd pretty pretty dark if the club applied for a priority pick as well. No handouts, no messiah trades, no quick fixes. Lets just work with what we have, build our list with the draft and take any value trades that come our way.

Yeah, I agree, I think we've got the best Hill. Although I still wouldn't complain if Josh and Brad were on our list though - they are all pretty naturally talented. Just when you think they have done nothing, they'll pop up and do something ridiculous.
