Hey go easy on us lawn bowlersWe have not lost a single game due to team selection this season and will not next week.
Yes there will be some posters gnawing about selections but any changes will be around the periphery.
We have a good solid game plan, are better accross the board than the hocs, good coaching panel and if any player who played in last years elimination final is not chomping at the bit for significant revenge they should go a play lawn bowls.
Other than significant consistent player errors no matter who is in or out we should be beating the Hocs
Whilst Darcy's was later Meek was still late and didn't to my eye seem to be looking at the ball which us what saved Pearce.I felt Darcy’s hit was later and, most importantly, he didn’t attempt to spoil. Can’t think of others off the top of my head.

Yes, this becomes the most important game of the season. We have not beaten any of the teams above us as it stands at the moment. I am afraid our close losses do not cut from here they have left us with little wriggle room even though our draw is pretty good from here.Staggering how we now find ourselves out of the eight. Makes this game all the more critical. Must win.
A bit nervous about this one as I see it as a Must Win, given our current ladder position. And knowing the Hawks are coming off a belting makes me even more nervous, because you just know they’re going to come out firing, and I’m still not sure which Bulldogs are going to show up on game day. It’s a bit like a lucky dip cause you just don’t know what you’re going to get.
Yeah I think Dolan, McNeil, and Bramble are our best sub options atmI would like to see Dolan come in specifically in the sub role. Think he's had the best impact of all our subs this year.

Think this game really sets up top 4 opportunities, we won’t make it if we don’t beat sides around us and then draw opens upThis could be a season defining game for the dogs here. Havent beaten a top 8 team other then gws, Honourable losses coming out of our ass. Hawks are going to come out breathing fire. Huge test for us really need to win to show we are the real deal and not pretenders.
Come on dogs time to show some maturity and get the job done
IF we don't see it on Thursday I reckon we are cooked. We are fearful of a belting with the current attitude and application something doesn't seem right. Let's hope for a cracking game at least.A bit nervous about this one as I see it as a Must Win, given our current ladder position. never underestimate our ability to **** things up when expectation is high.IF we don't see it on Thursday I reckon we are cooked. We are fearful of a belting with the current attitude and application something doesn't seem right. Let's hope for a cracking game at least.
Sounds like there’s nerves in both supporter camps! I agree with you, let’s hope for a corker of a game. Goal for goal and nobody backs downIF we don't see it on Thursday I reckon we are cooked. Love Davidson on the wing. There are so many strengths to his game and the requisite composure under pressure will only come with experience at the highest level under the highest pressure — I reckon he’s a fast learner too. Let him make the wing his own.The hawks are not playing the hard running, high pressure game they were successful with later last year. However thats more about attitude than who is playing. If they collectively decide to have a real crack they will worry us, and we could lose this one if we arent totally switched on.
What worries me is that if we are allowed to do as we please, we crush, but when the opposition brings the pressure, we tend to cough it up. "pressure them and they will fold" will be underlined at the top of the blackboard in the hawks room all week, just as it will be for all teams from now on.
If Treloar is back and remains uninjured, Frij has to embrace defence and be a rock back there that uses the ball well.
Altho I still have questions if he can play wing. Hes not lightning, but he can cover a lot of ground, and davidson, for all his hard running, is highly suspect in traffic. His skills in close are not up to AFL standard.
Its a bit late in the year, but Frij to the wing and Davidson to half forward is not crazy is it?
