There just has to be a statement at selection that not only was tonight unacceptable, but all but 2 quarters this season.

But he’s still not our biggest need.

Do you need to be able to do those things in the AFL?
Tex should never have been considered, particularly with the two long flights

For whatever reason I get the feeling they'll be hesitant to debut anyone while they're losing and particularly not on a big Thursday night match up against Melbourne.
In fact they'll want to do the opposite and lean heavier on experience to turn the slump around.

We will look for a running defender to replace Milera, so will be either Hamill or Parnell.
Murphy out will mean Ned stays in. Also likely we bring Berry back in.
Might drop Pedlar if we are feeling really saucy.
I would go:
Out: Milera, Murphy, Pedlar, Borlase
In: Curtin (plays as loose defender), Nank, Dowling, Butts.

He horrible and should never play for us again, along with about 5 others.

Funny thing is that his strength prior to his draft was his endurance!

He has done enough last year to be consider in our best 18 but it will take time to get confidence in his foot again and maybe he will never regain the speed he had before the injury.

Can't drop the young and potentially good players. It's not really their fault. A proper coach would have them all looking way better.
But the oldies should get no passes.
Unfortunately Murphy is injured so it won't look like a dropping
A new (GOOD) coach would do what good coaches do when they come in, putting their stamp on this group. Retire Sloane & Smith, drop Laird, give the kids responsibility in the middle.
Delist the cloggers Murphy McHenry Sholl Berry instead of perpetually cycling them expecting it to somehow work out one day.
And only play kids we don't know enough about.
One day, if we all wish hard enough, we might just get a coach like that
