Preview Changes Rd 8 vs Port Power

If McAdam is not kicking goals he offers nothing.

Has had one game this year over 10 possessions. Has no impact up the ground.

He will be 26 next month. Is he really part of our next push?

His career will be a cameo, like Nick Gill.

Doesn't mean he's a one trick pony.

Give McAdam a rest

Rowe, Himmelberg, McPherson all need to go

Persist with giving Schoenberg and McHenry more midfield minutes if Sloane isn't fit
And Berry, if O'Connor continues on from last week tomorrow have a serious look at him too.

Out
McPherson, I reckon he is injured
Rowe, Looks tired offered nothing for a few weeks
Kelly tough one but need McAsey to play, Need to persist with Murray
Himmelberg, I like him but not good enough
MacAdam. One trick Pony. Offers nothing if cant take a speccy.

In
Jones, play down back. BP could be his go
Newchurch. Inject some pace
McAsey, we need a second genuine KPD
Fog. Have Tilthy second Ruck. Fog and Tex up forward
Sloaney

I'm not Kelly's biggest fan, but we have many who we need to drop before him.

Both McAdam & Rowe must go after several terrible games. Don't care if Newchurch isn't ready.

McPherson looks like he needs a break to get him right.

Berg & Hately on edge... but no issue if we give them another game as haven't played many games.

Nick's needs to show a ruthless side now. It's one thing to back in young players into responding but there are just some players not doing the job. We cant allow a golden ticket culture to creep in and I do feel today's game really was a result of players just expecting things to happen. No one seemed to be willing to do the hard things.

McHenry tried hard, you could see his effort but does he actually achieve anything. Scholl did improve in the second half. Yes he worked hard but if he is working that hard and running huge distances for that result, perhaps there is an issue with his running patterns. For one of the fasted players in the side and to watch giants run away from him on multiple occasions was not a good look. They aren't a quick side and they made us look slow. That's an issue.

Yeah, I am trying to work McAsey in.

Murray needs a block of games. Unfair to omit him.

Kelly won't be dropped anyway.

Need to persist with Hately. There is a semi decent mid there. He is only 20.

This one trick pony s**t Geoffa keeps posting is absolute bullshit, McAdam has a bag full of tricks when he's fit and firing, currently in my book he's neither of those though.

In the modern game small forwards need to contribute up the ground.

Murphy and McHenry are showing they are capable of it.

McAdam plays the small forward role like an old school full forward. Leap for the mark, minimal ground pressure.

Rowe is not AFL fit.

McAdam/Rowe out with Newchurch and a mid (Sloane if fit or O'Connor) injects some pace and midfield depth to the side.

He offers nothing beyond the F50 arc.

It ain't 1999.

Id rather had a look at Newchurch weeks ago.
Saw Newchurch live against WWT a few weeks ago.

Legit one of the quickest Crows players I have seen.

We need footspeed.

Bullshit. when he's right in body and mind he offers a shitload of defensive pressure/chasedowns, he has genuine top end speed and agility and is a super overhead mark for his size....one trick pony my ass.

McAdam showed last year he was too.... He's almost certainly carrying something

No no I wont hear of it - our expert said he was worth every inch of the pick 20 we got him for

lol

Our first uncompetitive game of 2021, and a huge reality check.

There were so many poor performers today that I wouldn't know where to start in terms of ins and outs.

Hoping Sloaney plays next week.
Hopefully the club now realises we won't be playing finals & the priority is our rebuild....
