He's a forward, play him as a forward.
Typical AFC to do this.
Even if he is a 2-3 goal forward per week, it will at least fill a hole for us up forward.

Keep trying. Newchurch is no where near ready for AFL. He’s a work in progress prospect.McPherson deserves to be dropped but not sure who replaces him. Upon reflection we can't keep playing him out of form or injured so I agree he's out. I would bring Worrell in for Murray and possibly move Murphy into McPherson's spot. The other option is that you bring Jones down back as a direct replacement or restructure the backline.
In: Worrell Sloane O'Connor Jones Newchurch
Out: Murray Hately Rowe McPherson McAdam
Murphy Butts Kelly
Smith Worrell Doedee
Sholl Sloane Seedsman
Schoenberg Walker Jones
Newchurch Himmelberg McHenry
ROB Laird Keays
O'Connor Berry Thilthorpe Mackay
Sub: Fogarty

BS is right.
You cannot tear apart something that has never been together.
It would be like the AFC demanding to wear the red and black striped jumper from 1860!

+1Everyone saying Newchurch is not AFL ready seem to forget Rowe hasn't looked AFL ready in the past month and Mcadam has been dreadful. How could Newchurh be worse? At least he is fast and might put on an ounce of pressure.

The ultimate troll is that Colligwood should allow us to wear black and white for the Showdown. It would be hilarious to see the melts if we ever wore this as a heritage jumper and put 1860 on the back![]()

It's not terribly realistic either, given that he fails to score 1 game in 3, and averages just over 1 goal per game. That'd put Fog on a 50+ goal pace (or just a tick under it), it's hardly "filling a hole" territory.
That would be like wearing th big V.Well Adelaide Uni Blacks and the Crows wanted to forge a partnership
See I don't think he can be "just" a forward. Not long term anywayHe's a forward, play him as a forward.

Rowe is a Ken Farmer Medal winner, McAdam made the SANFL team of the year.So is Rowe and McAdam.
Fogarty's SANFL performance is being underrated.
He was the unused sub on Saturday, which is very difficult and mentally draining what with the constant warming up/warming down and not knowing if you're going to get a run. It's more taxing than playing an AFL game I'm reliably told.
So he effectively played 2.5 games on the weekend and was reasonable in the back half of his second game and first half of his third. Needs to be rewarded.

You 6hink Newchurch could possibly offer less than Rowe or McAdam in recent weeks... as that's hell of a low bar!Rowe is a Ken Farmer Medal winner, McAdam made the SANFL team of the year.
They were well in advance of Newchurch then..... And still are now.
McPherson cannot stay surely?

With our midfield, winning starts from behind more often than not.I'd be much more concerned about what's happening ahead of the ball than behind it.
