Based on purely unscientific observations, I can't see why Adams seems to be getting preference for a spot over Thomas.

JT had a breakout late last year, especially v West Coast. Definitely has the x factor and his improvement has been swift, if not exponential. His touch and burst off a ruck tap is startling. With another season of seniors footy I believe he will equal or maybe even surpass Beams.

Adams, on the other hand, has been average or gone missing in most games. Is it because Adams is our prized recruit, or was a first 22 at GWS, that we are embarrassed to keep him in the VFL?

Adams got dropped along with JThomas...

In fact JThomas is an emergency and Adams isn't.

Pretty solid emergency list.
So our depth ATM is:

Fasolo, brown, JT, Adams, Armstrong, Kennedy, Reid, Dwyer, Sinclair, Seedsman, Scharenberg, Freeman, karnezis, Martin

Pretty crazy. Most of those guys should be playing senior level afl.

Maybe have a look at the outs before going on a rant. FWIW both Adams and Thomas will be 10yr plus players for the pies.

One too many outsiders, IMO.

Young returning was a given so then it came down to Dwyer v JT and I would have gone with the ball winner not ball receiver. Much of a muchness though because the difference is a handful of CP's. Whoever they went with of the two is likely to start as sub and JT could do with a full game so a VFL match could be a bonus.

The line up has a good blend to it though Adelaide's talls do concern me. My guess is that Keeffe goes to Walker and Frost to Pods. That leaves Maxwell for Jenkins with the plan being Maxy peels off when Jenkins goes on those Tarrant circa 03 style 100 metre leads.

Preventing them from moving the ball quickly appears to be our strategy to stop their talls getting on top. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Imagine what that list would look like if the drop wingmen like the VFA?

It's exactly what we want especially if we plan on playing finals. Perfect.

Loving the average height of our team at the moment. Our short people Adams Thomas Fasolo Kennedy are out which puts us back right up there.

I reckon I'd actually play Frost on Tex and Keeffe on Pods.

good team so many quality players missing out is a good thing keeps everyone switched on
who will be sub maybe young?

I think they really like a fit and firing Dwyer in the side; he brings things we lack, genuine run and carry through the midfield, finds space exceptionally well, good delivery, smart footballer, runs well all day and kicks goals.

For sure, he's a great mid-tier player to have running around. He also covers a few areas we're not particularly proficient in so it's his spot to lose atm.

Reckon the ins and outs are fair, on balance. Am an Adams fan, but his disposal by foot vs Carlton wasn't great.

Would have liked to see Thomas retained, but then the question is who would have made way for him - Blair, Ball, Young? They all merit selection. too.

Adams time will come, he's purely an inside mid at the moment with at least 2 in front of him. Bucks has been giving him a taste of the big time and looking at what he's got in other positions.

No surpise that he was only just serviceable in the backline against the scum as he's apparently never played there in his life.

He's been brought onto the list as Luke's replacement and so he will be next year, meanwhile he plays bit parts here and there in the seniors at times to get the pace and acclimatize to new team mates and dynamics and does the rest of the time in the magoos refining his skills.

Some very average kicking come back in. Would of had Fasolo in over Maxwell.
Faz offers us so much better outlet from the back half it's not even funny, combine that with the fact he is a good contested player and reads the play beautifully and the head does begin to shake.

Feels like forever since we last played. Hope all got a good rest up and ready to go in hard.

This is my main concern. I hope they are switched on from the start.
