Potentially though this rule is another disadvantage to interstate teams. Either we take the risk and travel with the usual 23, with one player serving as both emergency and sub, or we travel with 24 which means two guys miss out on WAFL and a chance to press their claims.

On top of that, we play a lot of Sunday games so 2 players won't play footy most weekends.

Hopefully we can use this to rest players like Mundy.

He's played for Peel in the pre-season games. More of a slow start than anything. He probably won't play 22 games this year, but he will play

I believe JLo came out and poured water on the Cox forward movement, at this point I think our options at this point are down to two, Treacy debuting I think is an absolute lock (unless injured of course, who knows what might happen in this weeks instalment of Freo's pre-season).

Trained on weekend, Longy or one of the coaches have talked about him in an interview and he was on the youngsters panel at our season open.

zero chance. He was on radio this morning and said couple of weeks.

Based on who has made the trip, I reckon the team will look something like this:

FB: Conca, Hamling, Ryan

HB: Young, Cox, Hughes

C: Acres, Cerra, Aish

HF: Switkowski, Taberner, Henry

FF: Schultz, Pearce, Darcy

R: Meek, Fyfe, Brayshaw

Bench: Blakely, Serong, Mundy, Colyer



Emer: Giro, Thomas, Watson

No idea who will line up at FF with Treacy and Lobb out so have thrown Pearce down there, but could be anyone really. Would love to see Fyfe start forward and Serong on the ball but ain't gonna happen
