Gags was BOG in the VFL the well before, and Luke Kennedy was a travelling emergency so apart from Sanders those are the two I expect are in the frame for selection.
It was reported that Lewis was also a travelling emergency so that would put him in the frame too wouldn’t it?

For Croft.

Should Crofty temper his mark of year attempts a little. Just think some of leaps are fraught with to much chance of injury.

Do not like to restrict his endeavour think it is fantastic but a small adjustment would probably be wise.
Watched it on replay. Looked like clear and deliberate tunnelling by Coleman. I’m surprised it hasn’t drawn any media attention. Is it a reportable offence? Something that MRO should be looking at? Especially if Croft has to miss a game or two.

Without the tunnelling he would have been fine (unless he burned up on re-entry to the atmosphere). Why would we discourage these things? They are what brings fans to the footy.

That is fine and your opinion. However, I was at the VFL grand final and he hurt himself doing a similar thing. I not saying he should not use his leap but just temper it a bit.

I think they're very different players.

Croft an aerobic beast who chops out in the ruck. Lewis looked like an old school FF based on last year.

We may not go tall for tall and just play Davo higher up the ground. We know he can run.

Only 5 games into the season and it could be
a domination of interstate teams for the 8. Forgetting about 9 and 10 it is bulldust.

Dee's, Tigers, roos and blues no
Saints at best some chance
Pies probable ɓut wait & see
Cats and Hawks you would think but need lift their game.
That leaves one Victorian team top of the pops and we know who that is.

Essendon?

For the AJ replacement

Hoping it’s Dolan, expecting Gallagher, dreading it’s McNeil

I think Gallagher is in that stage where his chances to make it are running out (he’s out of contract this year) and Bevo probably gives him a look. Most recent example being Baker. And if Gallagher is to make it, it has to be as a pressure forward - what we’ve seen of him at afl level in the backline and midfield has been pretty bad.

But I really think we should be pumping games into Dolan, Jacques and Hynes where we can.

Medical report just out from the club doesn't mention Croft so guessing he's ok to play, only main ones to miss will be Trelor, Jones and Vandermeer

So with Treloar being a test on the injury report do we reckon he comes straight back in or goes to the VFL? I personally think he plays a few games in the VFL to be cautious with his body.

I think Bevo said in a press conference that Treloar needs to prove he can get through a game first so that to me would indicate maybe a week in vfl first

Don’t mind if we could use him like the pies did Pendlebury though as mentioned above

I think Emmet will make his debut before Smith , he's more of a 'Bev' type of tall. Versatile & mobile. With 5 on the bench & English such a workhorse , he could give Emmet limited minutes . Maybe not this game but in the near future .

Croft wasn't injured, he was treated as sub being replaced by Davidson.

He definitely was injured and went to the change rooms for treatment multiple times. I believe may have just been a corkie likely in the hip so he couldn't run or move fluidly.

Croft isn't mentioned in the injury list
Yer but quite a few times the Dogs haven't mentioned a player on the injury list then when the team is announced they say that they are injured. If Lynch said he had a calf complaint he would have heard it from the Dogs bench, so there has to be some issue there.

Camera was on Bont in the rooms post match as he walked over to Croft to check on him. Couldn’t make out what Croft said but he was pointing to his left lower flank area.

VFL

Treloar through no fault of his own needs to earn the trust back of the selection team. A calf breaking down from a vigorous 50m sprint, only 5 minute into the match(As is the trend) is a disaster at the top level.

Time to be a serious Football club. With the exception of Sanders for Arty. Team remains unchanged for mine.

Let a Bulldog outfit build some chemistry for once.
