Probably need to be careful with Emmett to not throw him around everywhere and stall his development

Sounded like he has been training with the defenders, then played ruck vs Sydney, fwd/ruck vs Hawthorn and then defense(?) in the VFL practice game. A spell here or there is fine but would like him getting a real extended run in one position to get comfortable

I’m sure he’ll pinch hit but he’s replacing Croft who from memory didn’t do a lot of rucking last week.

My assumption for this year will be that Darcy will remain the second ruck but Croft will go in there on the days where Darcy is really on and they want to keep him forward

I think we'd be more likely to see Davidson get a few ruck contests.
Against the Lions English had 78, Darcy 16 and croft, 10. I'd back Davo to dominate Riccardi around the ground whilst not conceding too much in the ruck.

I think this is a good opportunity to get a good look at Lewis against gws depleted backline. But I just hope if he doesn’t look up to it bevo doesn’t drag it out for 5-6 games.

It would have happened a lot. In R1 1983 we debuted 10 players, 4 recruits and 6 players making their AFL debut - pretty decent crew too; Wallis, Royal, Purser, Williams, Sewell and Taylor.
