I predicted Darcy out for NOD in, shame NOD wasn't fit and thus Banners was the next best.

I'd love to know what team we would be picking if we had NOD, Young, Walters, Sturt, Walker, Darcy available and in form.

No point making selection statements if they make your team demonstrably worse. What are they going to do, replace Switta with Jack Delean? No, of course not. It's shit, but these guys are getting reprieves because we have been hit with bullshit injuries.

It's about making statements to ensure we're not rewarding mediocrity. The selection panel have options.

Reidy or McDonald could have come in for Darcy, which means Banners replaces Freddie or Switta. Draper could replace Cox or Ryan. We could go smaller in the backline and Aish plays. Aish could replace Sharp on the wing. Brodie could play and Bolton and Wagner rotate in the midfield less often. They are all viable options to make sure some of our players don't continue to coast.

The match review identified four stupid skill errors in the first quarter resulting in goals against and another half dozen examples in the game where a player missed the handball option that would have put a player at the top of the square taking a shot.
