So, no suspension for Jordy then??

Jayzus the commentators had me thinking he was Dean Solomon.
Channel 7? The Fox team had little to say about Clark, and we’re even slightly sympathetic to his not being able to do anything about it, as he was having a clean crack at the footy.

It's crazy but I have a good feeling about this match GWS have been almost as up and down as us this year and may be due a shocker and maybe J Lo will finally see he's cooked if nothing changes and take the brakes off a little

I’d love to see ball retention for kicks inside 50 from Johnson.

I think it would be very very low, potentially lowest in the comp low.

Agree his bollocking work has been good. This is where we need the overlap run, tell him to hand pass to a better user quickly.
I think it’s really important to persist with Johnson despite the obvious faults.
He who does no work makes no mistakes. He has persisted with taking the game on and being in the game. He is a valuable big hard body in a smaller midfield. He is if you like working his way through performance flaws in that his previous chief fault of HTB has been superseded by kicking clangers. But, as on Thursday night, I’ve seen him making some neat accurate passes.
I also see him using his size and ok speed to hustle & shove opponents effectively.
He didn’t come with polish but he came with a steady valuable work ethic and good size. He has slowly continued to improve one way or another. I think - reasonably hope -this will be his story. (And there’s always the thought that with better coaching…)
He shouldn’t be an either/or with Raz. Persist with Raz too so he can operate effectively within considerable speed limitations.

GWS will go a month of footy without a win and then pants Freo next week. Can’t have Cox on Hogan again. Needs a spell. OMac to replace him.
Well the giants surprised me down at the cattery. Hogan next level this season. Clunking everything. At least Freo won’t play them back into form. Pearce will be up to his eyeballs in it.

Better than Cox on Hogan last season.

Erasmus is listed online as 190cm and 83kgs..he doesn’t seem that big on the telly. He’s the second tallest mid after Johnson assuming Fyfe is done. Get him in the team.

At the beginning of the season I highlighted Johnno as being pivotal to our midfields success. Not many people agreed but it looks like everyone is starting to come around.

Imo blaming his skills and footy IQ on the coach is a cop out (even though it would make a difference). His decision making is not great and you can't blame his handballs to people's feet on the coach. I have been a very big believer in him since being drafted and I maintain that belief. But he needs to work on the skills and most importantly his goal kicking. He is approaching 50 games so it will probably take another 50 to iron out these issues but it falls on him. I think he would greatly benefit from having Mundy as a personal mentor.
Especially that mundy bit!

Shower or 2 forecast for Saturday. Would our players have seen rain this year, even at training?

The away game with Melbourne was hot, Saints we kicked 2 goals in three quarters under a roof........go the unders anyone having a punt.

Seeing the injury list made me appreciate the depth issues really are an injury thing. Sure, its only a couple of best 22 guys but its also like a lot of the 25-35 guys

Last year it was all our tall backs in Pearce, McDonald, Chapman, Cox missing a lot of footy. This year it's our experienced smalls.

Aish and Banfield aren't stars but they're mature role players and should be in the side. Same with Switta, picking the kids every week isn't working. Having the youngest or second youngest team every week will cost JLo his job.

Oscar McDonald in to play as a defensive forward on Sam Taylor.

Voss forward and second ruck, potentially subbed out at half time.

Out - Erasmus, Darcy (injured), Amiss (soreness/rested)

In - Aish, Banfield, McDonald

Freddy as sub
