Must be thinking of someone else then. Not really.

Gallucci had 7 kicks and zero handballs in 80% game time. Like Fogarty and to a lesser extent Poholke, he shows glimpses that suggest he could develop into a very good player. Unfortunately we can’t afford to have three players collectively contributing 25 disposals a week. We can carry one KID, possibly two but three is just too much.
I am more than happy for us to play two out of Gallucci, Poholke, Fogarty and Murphy but while we are still in contention we need to balance shortterm and longterm objectives. We can rotate these KIDS through the last two spots particularly if we get Tex and Sloaney back.

Yeah. hard for him to get any possessions when the ball is the other end of the ground 95% of the gameOf course Gooch had 7 disposals from 80% TOG. He was playing in the area of the ground where the ball wasn't, our forward line, as a defensive forward.
He had the exact same number of disposals as Betts, but had 4 tackles and 4 inside 50s plus two shots on goal. Betts kicked 2 straight, Gallucci 1.1
That's him playing his role IMO
Milera is 20. Seems pretty young. Gallucci also 20 and Doedee 21.I find it interesting that Don has been saying that with our injuries our young players are getting a chance. So I have to ask just who are these players. I know that Gallucci, Poholke, Fog, Murphy and Doedee have but we have had more than five injured players. So does that mean Don is calling CEY, Milera, Hampton and Greenwood youngsters as well. I dont really think thats correct. We have other real youngsters who I would refer to being youngster such as Davis, Himmelburg, Edwards. The difference is a year of exposing 5 newbies or maybe 8.
Would be interesting to see the number of newbies that other clubs have exposed.
Past history tells us that 5 young newbies is a big change for us but I wonder if we had another year of minimal injuries just how many would have been given the exposure. Young Jarman would have been on our list for two years at the end of the season. I have no idea how he is developing. It just seems that unless we are forced to expose the youngsters that they just can get a game.
Think he mainly just posts his opinion like it's a fact.Rezagun has been on track with previous selections hasn’t he?
Was the loss 7 years ago against Melbourne at the MCG? Recall us losing by 96 points against them in a year they finished bottom. Fun times!Last week was the biggest loss in seven years.
Im itching to see how the coaches respond and that starts at selection. It will confirm alot of things about this administration.
Over the last three seasons we have backed in KIDS with talent rather than waiting for them to rack up big numbers in the Twos.Past history tells us that 5 young newbies is a big change for us but I wonder if we had another year of minimal injuries just how many would have been given the exposure. I thought it was the loss against St Kilda at Etihad. Was the loss 7 years ago against Melbourne at the MCG? Recall us losing by 96 points against them in a year they finished bottom. Fun times!
Neil reacted savagely after that loss.
He made one change... dropping Walker. Otherwise unchanged.
That's the game before Craig quit I think.I thought it was the loss against St Kilda at Etihad.

What he says in public and what he says behind closed doors could be two very different things. So he still doesn't see a pattern? Jesus.
The reality is some players, for whatever reason, are unable to make the next step after being drafted and just aren’t good enough to get an AFL game.I find it interesting that Don has been saying that with our injuries our young players are getting a chance. So I have to ask just who are these players. I know that Gallucci, Poholke, Fog, Murphy and Doedee have but we have had more than five injured players. That was the game that Dangerfield nearly got seriously hurt in a 3 man tackle, wasn’t it?Was the loss 7 years ago against Melbourne at the MCG? Recall us losing by 96 points against them in a year they finished bottom. Fun times!

Yeah, nah. The selectors never play the kids. Don’t you listen to what posters on BigFooty say? We always play 30yo’s and would play a whole team of them if we could.Over the last three seasons we have backed in KIDS with talent rather than waiting for them to rack up big numbers in the Twos.
McGovern had played two good games in the Twos in 2015 along with several injuries. He was selected for Round 1 in 2016 and has since played AFL whenever he has been fit.
Milera played 8 AFL games in his first year, 16 last year and every game he has been available in 2018.
Fogarty is still 18 and has already played 6 AFL games.
Gallucci showed patches of brilliance in the Twos last year and played against Brisbane. He was injured late in the pre-season and has played every match in the AFL since recovering.
Murphy was rookie listed this year and has already played 4 AFL games.
Poholke developed nicely in the Twos last year and has played 5 AFL games this year however needs to develop more weapons before he is a regular.
Doedee is the only one who has been held back a bit. When we drafted him it was stated that he would need time in the Twos before he was ready. It is working beautifully so far this year.
Big men usually take longer to develop. Dear and Himmelberg have shown glimpses but not enough to play them over Jenkins, Walker or Fogarty.
The jury is still out for Signorello, Davis, Jarman and Edwards but I like what I have seen so far from Davis and Edwards. When we rookie listed Jarman and Edwards it was stated that they would need plenty of time in the SANFL before they would be pushing for an AFL spot.
IMHO the only player who would have been getting more games in some other top Eight teams is ROB, but that’s the nature of being a ruckman.
When/if we get back most of our injured players I still expect to see Milera, Doedee and Gallucci in our best 22 and we will play Fogarty at every opportunity.
I am happy with the way we introduce our young players, but you would have to agree we introduce them later on average than other clubs.Yeah, nah. The selectors never play the kids. Melbourne have also had greater access to talent than we have had.I am happy with the way we introduce our young players, but you would have to agree we introduce them later on average than other clubs.
Eg last week we had 11 players with less than 100 games. Melbourne had 15.
And how has the Crows success rate been with developing players?I am happy with the way we introduce our young players, but you would have to agree we introduce them later on average than other clubs.
Eg last week we had 11 players with less than 100 games. Melbourne had 15.
So what are we thinking tonight. Obviously a squad of 26 so we probably won't get an official out list.
I'd say Murphy, Seedsman, Hampton and ROB in with Poholke out and MAYBE Brown but I'm sure they'll give him as long as he needs.
I literally started my post with “I am happy with the way we introduce our young players”And how has the Crows success rate been with developing players?
Immediately putting them into the AFL team doesn't necessarily make them better players quicker. Each player is different.
Have a look at Weitering. He's gone backwards this year because he lost confidence by being put straight into a Carlton team with a heap of other kids.
