I'm not downplaying his skillset at all. I just think his lack of situational awareness and abysmal decision making skills make him a liability. Yes, he's fast and knows how to tackle. That doesn't make him a good AFL footballer. Hampton has the physical attributes, but he is not (and never will be) a good AFL footballer.I think you're downplaying the skillsets of a fully fit Hampton, compared with the skillsets of a 4-5 gamer in Murphy, Gooch and Polhoke (Dots).
I don't want to see the Crows wasting AFL games on a player who is a near certainty to be delisted at the end of the year, when those games could be used to develop our talented younger players.
