i dont often post like most of you but anyway i feel one of our biggest passengers is kelly. Cant kick, slows us down unless he has an easy kick and really cant defend as has showed this year ie. vs gray he is a potential liability in defense. I see a fair bit of criticism of Atkins but i see positive traits in him but to be honest apart from trying hard i dont see much in Kelly. How come he escapes the attention because tbh i think he is our worst player for the year even in the wins. I accept that Polhoke is worse but he has played 5 games (5 too many) and Mackay should have been terminated after last week like it seems like Hampton has been.

Thought he was de-listable at the end of 2016. Fell into a spot in our 22 with Cheney out and played out of his skin for all of 2017, and left me both impressed and with egg on my face for how far he'd come.

Has reverted back to his normal self in 2018 and like you said, he holds the ball up, he's not hitting his kicks and worst of all, his defending, especially one out has been diabolical this season. I'm still yet to decide if it was him going through a purple patch and he's down on confidence atm, or if he has one eye on moving back to the pies maybe?

Of course two players who had played a combined 1 game leading into the season won't be able to match what a 73 game player provided for us.

But so far, Murphy has averaged a goal per game. Cameron last year just 1.2. Murphy has averaged 4.3 tackles; Cameron also 4.3. From a player who's played a total of 4 games so far, that's not too bad.

Unless Murphy is already at his ceiling, I don't see why one of those small pressure forwards we require can't be him

Last year we were at our best with Betts/Charlie/Knight. We don't have that cattle at the moment, but I believe we need to select a BettsMurphy/Gallucci combo, and then weigh up the Gallucci vs Knight debate when Knight is 110% ready to go.

Murphy has shown that innate ability to kick goals from nothing chances, and he tackles hard. It's exactly what you want from a small forward. Why we keep persisting with Poholke is beyond me.

Knight is first choice when he is fit just because he has the right appetite to compete and run which we lack

You can always declare what you believe someones ceiling is, and as long as you are willing to adjust if you are proven wrong; it's pretty harmless.

Did I see that Hampton is not even in the extended bench? Didn't he had a blinder on the weekend? You would think after a 91 point humiliation bringing the guy in whose playing well even in the horrible team we call the SANFL Crows is only logical!

Blinder is a bit of a stretch, he had a "handy" game with several moments where he showed the eye opening talent he possesses with 2 centre clearances in particular that were Dangerfield like when he broke clear put the jets on and booted long goals, the talent is there in spades but he needs to do more.
