If we lose next week our season is screwed.

The rot is set. We're screwed anyway and will continue to do long term damage if we reward poor senior performances. It's destroying our culture and it has already destroyed several prior seasons.

This weak, insipid shit has to stop. We have to do it now. Screw the season. Fixing this problem will set us up for the future.

So who you drop is quite obvious

Jacobs - out for O'Brien
Mackay - out for Seedsman
Lynch - out for Otten

Then probably Poholke out as well, with Murphy coming in.

Replace the rotten timber, spray the mould, and reset. We will challenge this year if we are mentally prepared and willing to fight in every game we play. Right now, we are not willing to do that. So let's fix it.

Is this the same Goodwin who said, during the Craig years, "intimidation in football is no longer effective".

Amazing how guys instantly get a harder edge the minute they walk out of West Lakes.

Giants are awful with their injuries. We’ll smash them into round 23 even if we don’t make any changes.

Could be this play at about 12m44s left in Q1 - after the tackle, Brown does get up and run towards our D50, where Dees score a goal. After the commercial break, we see Fog in defence and no further sight of Brown.

I think the first gif might shown what could be a whiplash moment (he looked healthy prior to that) The tackle and being chucked to the ground in the second gif looks innocuous but probably didn't help.

Thanks for posting these... but I can’t see anywhere in those two shots where he gets whiplash or hits his head.. if that’s all it takes to get a concussion that puts you out for the rest of the game then Brown might as well retire now..

It surely couldn’t have been from this contest.. there must be another.

It will be interesting to see if he plays next week... if he doesn’t I’d be putting money on the fact he either wasn’t over the injury that held him out against the dogs or he reinjured it and they covered it up by saying he’s concussed.. After the lengths this club has gone to to cover up injuries so far this season I wouldn’t at all be suprised that it’s the latter.

thats the problem though.. we’ll make bugger all changes (ie Mackay will stay) and beat a depleted GWS and the club and it’s coaches will be happy with the way things are travelling again.. It’ll be “we’re back on track”!..

Our problems aren't as simple as injuries. We do obviously miss William's who is hugely underrated and Scully. Toby may be back this week, expect Phil Davis and Piss8bly Deledio and Sam Reid to come back.

The poor form of Patton and Himmelburg is not injury related though.

Neither is us getting smashed at the clearances and contested posession when it mattered for the last two weeks. The group of inside mids we're putting out on the field is actually the best we've ever had. More experienced and a better age profile than 2016, With Coniglio, Griffen and Hopper missing most of last year with injury.

Playing you guys at AO looks pretty intimidating from our point of view. Nothing to do except hope Lenny Hayes can sort our mids and our tall forwards can catch the ball really.

Jeremy Cameron looked to be out form as well from the couple of quarters I watched on the weekend?

He's got a broken toe. I think the medicos have decided playing wont make it any worse and the coaches have decided he's outlr best option. His kicking was seriously bad for a couple of weeks, but to me he's getting better every week. No doubt getting jabs pre-game

In the first gif, just before Brown releases the Dees player and had his head turned and looking back, he seems to have his arms momentarily hooked around the Dee and Brown gets jerked around whiplash like. The gif doesn't show it as sharply as the full video.

As I wrote, Brown gets up off the deck after that and jogs towards our D50 where a Dees player marks and goals, there wasn't any ball contesting going on and I doubt there'd be any off the ball clash involving Brown (or any player as TV probably would have picked it out). That's the last we see of Brown in the match.

Maybe there was another earlier incident that the C7 broadcast didn't show but prior to that Q1 12m44s left segment, Brown was running flat out and looked ok.

Our season was “apparently” screwed last year when we lost to the Kangaroos.
After round 16 we were going to implode and miss the Eight.
We would be out in week one of the finals.
We would go out in straight sets
etc, etc, etc

Like a broken clock, if you spew out this same shit week after week, year after year the you will eventually be correct and justify another 5 years of this vomit.

I really hope you are a Troll because if you are genuinely a Crows supporters (I greatly doubt this) you really need help.

If we had addressed the issues that caused us to lose to the Kangaroos we might not have been utterly ****ed in the Grand Final ;)

There is a clear trend. It's obvious. These aren't one off games, it's a fundamental issue with the side. We have the ability to turn up on any given day and be completely noncompetitive, you don't know when it's going to strike, but it does.

Last year we did it five and a half times. Because we didn't eradicate the virus it struck in the Grand Final. We've done it twice so far this year. It's a problem.

Nostradamus;

Will you admit that you were wrong in your predictions after our losses last year that we wouldn’t make the Eight?

Will you admit you were wrong that we would go out in week 1 of the finals?

Will you admit that you were wrong that we would go out in straight sets?

Will you admit that you were wrong that we would go to water in the Preliminary Final.

Are you saying that the thrashings we have been on in the end of while being a "successful team" aren't concerning? Cause premiership teams don't get done by 90 points by sides that haven't been up for a long time...

The bye can’t come quick enough. Who knows what’s happening with Brad Crouch - all reports were he would be available before the bye but it’s not looking promising.

Sloane, Tex, Seedsman, Knight all into the side come end of June. Hopefully B.Crouch too.
In the mean time we need to beat GWS at home. Fremantle should also be a win the way they’re going (but we would need to turn up).
Hawks away we may or may not get Sloane, Tex and Knight back - they are very beatable even with our injury list.

Need to win this week for pride, for our future and self confidence.

Out: DMac (forever), Poholke, Sauce, Kelly
In: Seedsman, Hampton, Obrien, Murphy

Brown Hartigan Doedee
Laird Talia Milera
Seedsman Gibbs Atkins
Obrien M.Crouch Greenwood
Lynch Jenkins Galluci
Betts Fogarty Murphy
Gibson Hampton CEY Douglas

Following weeks
Sloane in for CEY
Tex in for Fogarty
B.Crouch in for Hampton
Knight in for Murphy

Not sure Brown plays this week, we seem rightly conservative with concussion.

Richmond got done twice last year by huge margins. Adelaide and st kilda from memory. 70 + points. Your right though it completely derailed their season...

Are my predictions there relevant at all, or are you just deflecting? Do you want to discuss the issue at hand?

In fact right now I'm not making any statement about where we will finish, just that we'll find it difficult to be successful if we don't address this problem.

And for the record, if you're going to bring up my predictions, at least get them accurate. Would you like to review exactly what I said after the losses last year? Here you go:
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/pathetic-versus-melbourne.1165549/
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/very-ugly-vs-north.1164870/
https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/will-we-miss-finals.1169136/

In fact all that sounds incredibly familiar to what I've been saying after this loss. "Systemic issues." Go figure.

"Our season is over unless we make some significant, hard hitting changes."

I recall we dropped Jenkins and Mackay after that Melbourne match, for one game each. I remember Jenkins performances' significantly improved, and we didn't play that badly again until the first half of the Collingwood match

Of course they are concerning but the ridiculous suggestions to "fix" the problem are frankly stupid. Drop every senior player that is out of form is not the solution. Drop lynch for otten? Seriously???!!! Next week it will be "never play otten again". Trade away sloane and lynch, never play half the side again.

Almost all the side was terrible of GF day therefore they dont have it in them to perfom on the big stage. Trade and delist them all!

Concerning? Absolutely, but the reaction is mind-boggingly over the top.
