He’s well down the pecking order. The game against Geelong was a nightmare for him.
Aish and Hill ain’t defenders per se, more utilities that can go up the ground with skill.

Duman is having a good year in a defence Which is punching above their weight. He has been an important part of that. Too many on this board have “Duman should be dropped” saved and ready to post at any opportunity.

Someone had to be dropped, Watson is just unlucky. It's going to happen to a lot of players in the current team if we get all our guns back next year.

Surely a wet weather thing, Hogan won't add much if it's raining hard all game. If it's more like the eagles game today he might be a late in?
He needs to be playing footy that is for sure, need to have him firing before season's end.

As disappointing as it is Watson being dropped, how good is it having a player who played well, having to be the unfortunate out, instead of an injured player or someone who had a howler.
Great for positional competition & it was even a backman.

Sturt? He's weeks away unfortunately.

How tall is hawthorn foward line ? I had Watson in the top 6 players on our side last game.
At least he wont have his Foot man desciple

Better to bring a flesh player and manage the soreness midfielder.
As for Valente, everybody is saying how wonderful he is. I’ve got no evidence either way to include him or not.

I have no evidence either on Valente other than what I've heard.
I've heard our assistant coaches talk very highly of him.
I've heard the SA 2018 draft crop (Rankine, lukosius and rozee etc.) talk about how great it was playing in the SA state team forward line ahead of his quality entries.
I've heard our players talk highly of him
He was SA under 18 Captain.
He's dual sided.

Talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words.
If our coaching thinks he is special then play him.
In most years we have WAFL form and stats to see if a player is knocking down the door.
We don’t have that this year.
Valente junior career “ was” impressive and I liked the drafting of him.
The kid has been unlucky with injury but he won’t be the last.
JL has played Sturt,Serong,Frederick, Young, Watson as rookies this year. If Valente was better than Serong he would have got a game.
Blakely and Acres beat him to a spot in the team.
