At least one forced change this week for the Bulldogs in Cleary following his concussion, not much better for the Magpies with at least two outs.

Out: Cleary
In: Carmichael

While I don't think Carmichael was that great, I think he's copping a lot of attention as he's been identified as the main rebounder for us so he should look better at AFL level. From there it depends on who gets cleared from concussion protocols

Cody a real chance to come straight back in. Hopefully Tim is ready and then Lobb goes forward which will help our structure a lot.
Who stays out of a Croft & Lewis? Tough one but I’d probably go Croft (although wouldn’t complain either way)

Just go full athleticism with Lobb, Croft & Naughty roaming. West, Cody & Arty. Lottttta offence if we can sort it out

There are alot inline to return next week, so near on impossible to predict.
Surely Weightman is brought back via the VFL. If English is back I'd persist with a younger defence and play Lobb Forward/Ruck. I would use Croft as cover for the tall forwards allowing them slightly reduced minutes and to maintain the tall forward structure.
IN: Libba, English, Buss
Out: Treloar, Cleary, Hynes

FB. Khamis JOD Sellwood
HB. Budarick Buss Dale
C. Bramble Bont Jaques
HF. Sanders Naught Jones
FF. Lewis Lobb West
R. English Libba Richards
INT. Coffield Mcneil Kennedy Freijah Croft

Assuming you are having a laugh, but a knee cap divided into two sections is pretty f**king serious.
He had it since childhood where the knee doesn't fuse properly. He had surgery to fix it and had to get another due to infection. It's not like it was done playing footy. Would been a whole different issue in that case.

Edit: Had read through it a bit more. It was a false joint in his knee.

He actually had three rounds of surgery and had significant muscle wastage in the thigh.

Not sure how a player misses 18 month through such an injury and it being not serious.

Could we play JOD, Buss, Buku, Coffield or is that too slow? With Dale, Bud & Sellwood.

It’s on the slow side but I’d trial it, especially with the extra on the bench. Would also have Jaques and Bramble playing but up the ground so could easily shift one back if need more run

In - English, Baker
Out - Croft, Cleary

Croft wasn't terrible, but just let the young talls deveop in the VFL and in Crofts case some time behind the ball in the VFL. Baker isn't a game changer, but like his effort, had 27 in the VFL today. Rotate him back in.

Pleaseeeeee Cody in for the VFL 🙏

That'a stretch given he hasn't played a game in 18 months.

They are seriously considering it. Either this week or next he may come straight in, I would prefer a week or two in the VFL but if the medical team says he is ready....

We have seen this before with Toby McLean in the final against Freo. Granted 5 on the bench helps manage him a bit better.

Do we have any clue on the situation with Busslinger?

He's not on the injury list on the website & obviously came out in the changes Thursday.

The tackle in the Carlton game looked nasty.

Soreness? Or did I miss some other announcement?

Following the announcement that Weightman may come straight back in, i can confirm that Zimmer is in his lab, where he usually works on techniques to ensure the continuing production-line of father sons, looking at a Baron Frankenstein effort of unleashing a prototype humanoid bearing the combined characteristics of EJ, Sutto and Jack Collins... to be selected in the MSD, and debut immediately. 😉

He was off with a sore shoulder for a while during the Carlton game, probably just pulled up sore again during the week.

I'd take a Cody Weightman who hasnt played in almost 2 years on 1 leg over Cooper Hynes
