That's what happens when Lyon moves him from being in the guts (where he was playing his best footy) to the half back flank, completely f’ed up his form and after he came back from injury he never recovered.
He is B grade inside mid who doesn't defend. Ross was right to pull him, who cares if that's his best position. His best is not good enough.
Why would play a B grade one way runner when you have A grade one way running options in front.
The only circumstance where I'd consider playing him on now is if a) more than 3 first choice mids are out b) Serong is injured and he can play run with.

Bollocks that Ross was right. He was getting Brownlow votes in many games and holding his own in run with roles on genuine A graders (e.g. Shuey, Cotchin, Murphy) as a 21 year old. Enter Ross with his brainwave idea. No problem with him being left out of the side now, it's just a shame his development was completely botched.

He was playing at half back because he did a high grade hammy in pre-season. lol How come Ross is the one responsible for his drop of form under a different coach? The mental gymnastics is absurd.

https://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/246968/blakely-continuing-to-build-in-2019 beat a top 4 team at the MCG with him playing half back. He had plenty of serviceable - good games in 2019.

At least your willing to admit that the reason you make stuff up is that you have a memory like a sieve.
Hey, I apologize for being mistaken. It still doesn't change the fact that his regression as a player had begun before Longmuir had started coaching, not after Longmuir had gotten to the club, his regression was already in place in the 2nd half of 2019.
