if sonny's fit not sure who makes way for him in the forward line, wouldn't be a fan of him being the one to come in for darcy.

Nah he does pass the eye test. It's just they focus too much on every error he makes, but when others in the teams make the same kind of error you hear nothing.

Knows how to position himself and find the goals. Usually clean below his knees. Great handballs. Even demonstrates he can kick, as someone said he had atrocious field kicking. Lol

Just needs work on tackling and corralling

I guess it depends on what your eye test is.

There’s certainly a lot of people on here that are happy to crack the whips when a player they don’t like makes a mistake but we don’t hear a peep from the same people when someone like Sam Sturt makes a mistake.

You can't make every dangerous tackle a suspension. Dudes head didn't even hit the ground, he flung himself forward too, and landed more on his front/side than his head.

Reckon it would be great if we could learn the freo how it's sung in this version. It would give us such a point of difference. Most clubs are now doing the same old chant. The old one is easy but Tame Impala's isn't too hard. Learn it. Go on. Do it.

Sturt was off the pace but that's not surprising coming from Peel into a finals intensity game. He did the team stuff ok (tackle etc). Also tells you how ridiculous good Amiss is doing that last year in an actual final.

He'll be out for Walters or he might stay in if Treacy is going to 2nd ruck. Probably get away with that against Richmond and it keeps Treacy in the game.

Devastating for Darce but this is a massive opportunity for Treacy and Sturt. JT will handle secondary ruck duties (his best role) while Sturt will hopefully start on the ground as our third tall. Huge chance for both young guys to potentially lock themselves into the 22 with some decent game time.

I'm ok with Kuek getting a game. Could be exciting. Suspect Richmond's experienced defenders would just push him under the ball all game but if he gets on the lead they don't have anyone to defend him.

How good has Amiss been?
He was our great white forward hope and he's already delivering, and in different ways.

A few weeks ago he was marking things he had no right to, this week he's just using his goal smarts and mobility.

JVR didn't look too bad either though, but we were pretty damn lucky to get 3 of the top WA talents as it was.
