Ins: Justin Longmuir (he's one of JL's favourites), Jeff Farmer, Dion Woods, Luke McPharlin, Leigh Brown, Steven Koops, Paul Medhurst, Matthew Pavlich, Graham Polak and Trent Croad, different coach for the game

Outs: Discuss

Agreed and see post above but Walters didn’t play in any of those games.
Sonny come on as the sub for 4 touches and a point in round 25.

But yeah I'd agree he probably gets a pass due to that and his finals performances when we have made it in the past.

Assuming everyone is fit and in form I'm taking Walters and O'Meara into a final over Dudley and Erasmus. It's not even close IMO.

Same applies with Simpson at this stage, I'd prefer Banfield in September 2025.

Our final 4 games last season are proof that mature heads prevail in big games. Pick the team most likely to win, we're not rebuilding. McDonald should have come in over Draper last week.
Geez another half season of Son Son throwing his head back and going to ground.

I just see this photo and see so much wasted potential. This team should have done so much more than they did.

Well that’s opinions, for you. I wouldn’t do any of those changes on current form.

Where is that from?
Was taken from a discussion on the West Australian with Craig O’Donoghue and Glen Quartermaine - basically discussing the Freo 2 rucks, and whether the win over the Gold Coast really did prove that the two rucks works?

The answer ultimately is we do not know yet, and I’m sure we will see it more, but my argument is we’ve been playing so well with one frontline ruck that I find it a hard sell to move back to two, and it may be a selection mistake.

The only thing that matters is the DUB and making sure Jackson stay at Freo!

I think we have seen Jackson be completely ineffective alone against the big gorilla rucks last season; whether he’s developed enough to beat them on his own is questionable.

That’s my point - I think he’s genuinely improved from last year as a genuine frontline ruckman.
I’d have him as an AA contender to this point as the Ruckman (only thing going against him is the 3 week injury).

I think giving Jacko the keys as the number 1 guy would ensure he stays at Freo…
Yeah but we don't have to do anything. Players under contract only get traded when it suits the club. It might tun out to be the wrong decision (Like Neale, or Houston) but the clubs only did it because they thought on balance they were better off. There is no circumstance in isolation where we are going let him go just because he wants to without us getting what our hierarchy at the time considers to be a win.
Otherwise he can ask all he wants but like Petracca last year the answer would be 'no'.

I agree, I'm not trading him under any circumstances, but a happy Jackson that wants to stay would be better. Hopefully his girlfriend either get's onboard with it or disappears..

Not sure where to put this, but for anyone that knows - is our cheer squad going to be situated in the normal end for next week or will it be flipped as we are the "away" team. Want to buy tickets and sit in my normal seats but will switch pockets if so. Cheers

In one of Fyfes very first contests he missed the tackle, and then was by far the slowest Freo player to spread defensively.

Very poor considering the rest of thenplayers had already played 3 quarters. He doesn't add enough to make up for his short comings now. IDC if it was his first game back, he shouldn't be playing until he is ready.

we (members) were given the opportunity to buy our regular seats for this game, so I imagine the cheer squad will be in their usual spot too....

How many of our team on the wekend have played 2 or more finals? Just Bolton and Jackson? And I count only about 8 that played against the Dogs in 2022. That's more than half your team playing their first final.

If we hit finals with a super young team it'll be like 2003 where when the heat went up in September we were bullied by the experience of Essendon.
