Prediction Changes Round 14 vs Dees

I'm talking about in a situation when the player elects to bump.

Until they outlaw the bump or shepherd then there will always be grey areas, he got Dangerfield only slightly high but not full on high.
I actually can't understand why any true football fan wants what Shuey did removed from the game.

Concussion is a serious issue that could in time bring down the NFL. You don't want to encourage players giving each other them.

In: Wellingham Redden Karpany JK

Out: Nelson (Inj) Priddis (Inj "Rest" even i think he is carrying an injury) Lecra (Omitted) Schofield

Every week we call for Priddis/LeCras to be dropped but we all know it will never happen.

Or it will come out of the blue the day of a big final, causing the board to melt.
Incidentally, have we played as well as that game since? Coincidence? I think not.

Changes will be Wellingham for Nelson (definite), Schofield/EMac for JK (75%).

Can someone with Twitter please tweet the result to Gary Lyon with the quote "Sucked in Wiferooter!"

He's not on twitter, probably for that exact reason.

I did do a search on Twitter for him but doesn't have an account. Unless I do a blitzkrieg on all Gary or Garry Lyon(s)

Might have to settle for Ralphy

Can't believe Jelwood just got a pocket money fine for a deliberate elbow to the back of the head

Expect JK to play. Probably in for Nelson.
Would leave us very tall so maybe an additional change as well.
Lecca/Crippa out for probably Hill/Wellingham/Karpany

Personally don't think any player goes in with the intention of getting the other player high - sure they probably attempt to apply a hip & shoulder or something similar to put the other player off their game, however with the speed the game is played at these days, easy to make a miscalculation. My 2c worth anyway!

I understand that but there are certain things in life we all have a choice to either do or not do, some things come with risk and others don't.
There is a risk that playing AFL you can get hurt, that is a players risk to take in my opinion. The game has been over sanitised as it is.

Oh man... Ralphy having the biggest sook!

- Jon Ralph on The Run Home 3:00-8:30
- Granny goes wild about Lindsey Thomas report 6:00ish to 7:45
- 'Expert former player/umpire (Couch Potato) whinges about Shuey 7:45-8:30
I'm going to light some candles, run a bath and really enjoy myself

Hope no Butler, Hill or low possession senior from the WAFL gets in this weekend. We will just be going backwards. Karpany or Partington deserve a game.

Ralph doesn't understand the rule. Shocking.

It's not about the ball being within five metres, it's about intent. He's allowed to bump him, he's allowed to try and hurt him, he's allowed to try and take him out of the play. But he wasn't intending to take him high. The bump was intentional, the high contact was careless.

Wellingham replaces Nelson

Like for like ....

If lycett is half fit I say play him as forward and ruck in the forward line

Bump intentional, mostly shoulder to shoulder, low impact turns into more of a solid push as he follows through, feet never leave the ground and Dangerfield is slightly pushed by Yeo and doesn't manage to straighten up.

simmo rekons nelly will miss a week or two, so thats good.

Probably the one change only then, I guess with Neilson going out. JJK pending could see us with another change.

If we are serious about us bringing that effort each and every week - you do have to reward the guys that bring the effort. So would be hesitant to make too many changes unless absolutely necessary. JK coming back is an obvious exception.

Knowing Shuey got off, I would be going

In: Karpany, Kennedy (if fit)
Out: Nelson, Schofield (unlucky)

Duggan to go through the HB rotations as he did last week. I think Karpany could be useful off a wing also.

For professionals who spend 3/4 of their week bitching about the MRP you'd think they'd have a fundamental understanding about how the criteria is actually applied.
But then again, the AFL media is generally a basket case aiming for the lowest common denominator.
