We shouldn't make to many changes but would like to see Mackenzie out for Lycet then Gov down back, Crips out for JK, Cole out for Sharrod, Lecca out for Hill and I know this wont happen but Pride out for Partington.

Well if you read posts I've written on the West Coast board I completely agree with you.
I even started a thread on it a few weeks back but got shut down by most.

That's not to say that players are beyond criticism, and if a player gains a rep for pulling out of contests for example then it should be open to discussion.
But long-term servants of the club should be given more respect. As I said before it is in the nature of a good athlete to continually back themselves, even when they are in bad form or have a minor injury - I would put more onus on the MC to set the standard.

Rumours of minor injury to priddis aside thats a long way for it to come in, particularly with the outs melbourne have. In the past i've seen these sorts of things occur when clubs have had the flu or gastro run through the club in a week leading up to a game. I hope thats not the case and we grind melbourne into the dirt. Just to see the look on Gary Lyon's face.

Don't recall anybody saying that actually - I did make the suggestion that should Priddis be a late out then perhaps the MC would elevate Wellingham before Redden or Masten? No mention of dropping Cole though.

Lecras started the season brilliantly, copped an injury and his form has deteriorated ever since. Our lack of depth has either made the match committee keep selecting him or the player suggest the injury was only a slight niggle. Has been an absolute champion, how short peoples memory, He is all class. They were discussing on 6PR this morning as who the Eagles have on their list as a ready made replacement for Le Cras as the only player they could come up with is Willi Rioli who is out injured (and when in rehab he's inclined to put on a bit of pudding = unfit.). So there lies the problem and possibility the reason why Le Cras has been picked week in week out even if playing under an injury cloud, as we just do not have a ready made replacement at present. Obviously now we are forced to compromise, so will be interesting to see how Karpany goes. What is Karpany's best position - is he more of a midfielder?

I would have thought Karpany would have been the logical replacement. Has been in the system for awhile and deserves to get an extended run to see what he has got. Some WAFL players who are top line just don't make it at AFL level, while other average players excel. I think Karpany could be one of those.( Possibly Lamb too ). Simpson seems to think we are in premiership mode and has not given the kids as much of a run as he should have.
