Still don't see where the merit in Jones as a defender comes from either.
He may be quick, but he doesn't run lanes, so provides no rebound.
On the other hand has doesn't seem to have the slightest clue of being defensively accountable at all.
It will be a disaster if he ends up "marking" Tuohy, Stengle or Close.

Am not drawing a line anywhere, just referring to other posts bringing up that subject...but that's the tightrope the selectors are facing..what will be will be, it is what it is etc..But curious to see if Dom brings something and yep Shuey on borrowed time you'd think? Yeo's the wildcard, will he get gassed, lose his shyte or perform half decent..on limited time?

More of the same bullshit credits in the bank team selections from Simpson.....guessing the second half of the season is going to go much like the first after these older underdone midfielders all get injured again because they're not fit.
So I take it anyone that played in 2018 is a CITB inclusion now if they come back? Irrespective of the fact they have played some games in the reserves to build fitness and are replacing absolute crabs who everyone wants out of the team anyway?

All the players from 2018 are useless now and should stay in the WAFL until further notice. Maybe bring them in for Round 23 @ Geelong

Clark out is crap. Yeo didn't deserve to come in based on what he served up in the WAFL and then getting himself suspended.

Exactly. All of the players (except Waterman) who most have wanted dropped are now out.
The only real selection question is Ckark vs Yeo, and they may not play the same role/position.
Gov, Jones, Yeo the only ones not to play WAFL last week from the inclusions, and no way Gov or Jones would have if they were available.

Sheed has had 3 weeks in the magoos.
You can make a case Yeo should've missed for getting supended.
Riolio has had one game back, but a half fit Rioli is better than Winder who hasn't touched it in 3 weeks.
Petro has had 2 games.
Maybe only Clark could feel unlucky but other than that, all of the ones that were dropped deserved it.

I'm more just annoyed that Clark is out tbh, he has a crack every week.
Rioli in is a worry imo, I don't think he's fully fit, I would have given him another week in the WAFL tbh.

Yeo said today he won’t be playing midfield. So it’s really one midfielder in, and he’s had three WAFL games and ramped up his game time and his performance with each one.
Isn’t that what people want to happen with senior guys coming back from injury?
