For me Freddy needs a wake up call by being dropped, when he is not getting the baqll needs to contribute with tackling pressure ie like shooterAish injury hurts, had him for best on for Freo.
O’Meara > Aish
Walters > Banfield
Worner > Henry
If Darcy available, Worner starts as sub. If not back to full fitness throw Sebit a sub jumper. Would love to see what he can offer. Happy to stick with Sturt for one more game.
I don't think Banners should have enough credit for that performance. It wasn't an off day, he touched it twice in half a game.I think Banners will survive as 4 good weeks probably gets you a mulligan (and JL has shown he like what he does) but it will be interesting as that’s as bad a game you can have really and Sturt was better. At least one of them is getting dropped for Walters and there’s probably an argument for Kuek or Corbett to take the other position

Depends what you want. A talented bloke on the side, then you choose Sam Sturt.Who stays in next week out of Banfield and Sturt?
Hill actually used his speed and elite kicking.
Henry has nothing
Could be saying the same about Tucker or Blakely. He certainly plays well at WAFL level but seems to struggle at times at AFL level.
He shows glimpses of footy talent but we need to see more of it and for longer periods of time.
Walters in for SturtJOM for Aish - Johnson probably back in the wing rotations
Just can't pick who Walters will come in for
I'd prefer to give Henry another game (on first watch I didn't think he was bad but he didn't touch it enough), Banfield gets a do-over, Sturt needs to stay in IMO, Noddy on notice but likely to survive with Aish gone
Freddy back to the wing rotations IMO
All of our small/medium forwards were average last night tbh, Shoota, Switta, Banners, Sturt, Freddy
Gonna be an ugly rewatch this week
How would you shuffle the back line? But of a curve ball, but I really think Hamling is prime to make a long-awaited return.
He's back to his best at Peel, and I always saw similarities between McPharlin and himself. I know the only changes will be forced but I can't help but feel he's earned a recall and would manage some of our defensive issues. There's no reason if he hits form why he couldn't be around for our supposed 2025 flag tilt.
Yes he's a mate also![]()
Maybe as the sub?Is Brodie in anyone's calculations?
He's out for 2-3 with an ankleIs Brodie in anyone's calculations?
Incumbents I guess and body if work.I know Walters has to come in, but I don’t get why everybody wants to drop Sturt, he was better than Banfield, Frederick, Schultz and Switowski as a forward and better than Henry and Noddy in general play,
So because Sturt was (arugably) better than those other forwards for one game then he deserves to stay in over them? Absolutely not.I know Walters has to come in, but I don’t get why everybody wants to drop Sturt, he was better than Banfield, Frederick, Schultz and Switowski as a forward and better than Henry and Noddy in general play,
Because Sturt is a better footballer than two of them for a startSo because Sturt was (arugably) better than those other forwards for one game then he deserves to stay in over them? Absolutely not.
Ok on what basis? Because certainly not on any exposed form in the afl or waflBecause Sturt is a better footballer than two of them for a start
That's the kind of logic used on hereOk on what basis? Because certainly not on any exposed form in the afl or wafl
Based on this logic we should be reassessing each player after every single game. Might be wholesale changes if this is the case lolSo because Sturt was (arugably) better than those other forwards for one game then he deserves to stay in over them? Absolutely not.
