In the post-match JL mentioned they'd look at the balance and hinted towards bringing a more mature forward in. Now considering we have none of those I'm expecting Corbett to come in instead.
Walters isn’t that young ;)

Walters and JOM in
Aish and Sturt out

Then maybe 1 more change. I reckon if we still had meek he’d probably play, but we don’t so maybe it’s just the 2 changes.

Well if Aish is out injured. I have no issues with Walters rotating in the wing and forward flank.

Switkowski, Schulz and Walters is a solid Combination of smalls.

Again.... I want Reidy in if Sean Darcy can't get up. Let him ruck 50 percent of the game and Luke Jackson ruck the other 50 percent of the game.
Reidy looked alright up forward at Peel on the weekend. Might be able to give us a contest up there and snag one or two. Needs to improve his repeat efforts once the ball hits the ground in the ruck though.

Because Sturt is a better footballer than two of them for a start
Sturt lead to good positions a few times during the game and the ball was kicked over his head , not his fault and needs a block of games to feel like he belongs at this level (he definately has the ability)

The player i worry about is Walker as he continually fumbles under pressure and in wet conditions, know he is still young and could improve but down the track would you really want him playing back pocket in a high pressure GF We need to recruit someone to fill this role but not sure who, Aishy could do it but that robs the Mids but we have cover there with Ras

Agree. Maybe that is why they are signing Worner to a longish deal. Although I'm not sure he has the pace to go with some of the small forwards. would like to find out.

He played somewhat decent on a couple of in form forwards this year like Cameron and Papley and did a pretty decent job.

id be more worried about our more experienced defenders doing that tbh, more faith in walker keeping his feet than pearce

i was thinking that mid game, cox was having a shocker and we couldnt get it past the centre square in the 4th qtr as we had no marking targets. wouldve been something to try

Luke Ryan was running forward in the very last parts of the 4th to try and achieve that, but the ball went to the other side of the ground.

interesting they went with luke over cox considering their past experiences

tbf probs better for him to be up forward at that time than taking the kick ins

I reckon Sammy Sturt lacks only consistent marking ability to be a classic half forward flanker who, on his day, could bob up for a lazy two or three.

Beautiful kick of the footy. Fast. Crafty. Opportunistic. Doesn't create, only benefits - textbook flanker really.

Those kinds of blokes are at the mercy of supply and will continually wax and wane in the public eye. They are also the sorts of blokes who win Norm Smiths.

I like a forward line that has three beautiful kicks at goal in it. Nev, Kahuna and Sturt are all natural goal kickers.

That sensational droppunt goal from the pocket Sturt kicked? He never looked like missing. Cool as a ****ing cucumber. Which has just been removed from the freezer, from behind the footy franks. By the Ice Queen. In winter.

He's actually deceptively strong in a one on one contest, numerous times I've seen him work a larger opponent under the ball to take a contested mark
