I was just using your post to make a point to the people calling for Lobb out without bringing a suitable replacement like Meek in.

And to say that despite Lobb not being in the best form he still impacted far more with his contested marks up forward than I think Meek would.

Just to add further to this point, I think a lot of the angst about selections comes from a fundamental disconnect between the way supporters view team selection and the way coaches do.

Supporters tend to zoom in on individuals and think of being dropped as a punishment for bad games, whereas coaches take a more holistic view of team balance and the net positives players can bring to the table compared to the alternatives.

Just an observation. While we were great defensively, only kicked 7. Hogan would add a bigger presence to complement the smalls.
Just who do we drop for structure?
Blakely is in trouble, Duman?
Lobb has to stay for structure. Tabs should never chop out in the ruck
Leave Blakely alone 😢

Can’t drop Henry, seemed to me like he thought he was still playing junior footy / whatever those scratch matches aren’t meant to be. Will be better each game as he adjusts to the pace
Those 12 on 12 scratchies are umpired by the likes of David Hale etc. In the gallery was one of the Swans assistants umpiring. In a video clip of one of the games highlights (against Geelong seconds from memory) there were turnovers with blokes all by themselves i50. Waste of time. I think each of the guys coming back need a week or two in an actual AFL to get match ready and conditioned.

I doubt there would be any changes except for any blokes to be managed. Rory Lobb looked a bit sore and had that ankle prob. Maybe he could be managed for Hogan.

I suspect Mundy will get managed at some point to enable Valente to play but that may need to wait another week or two.

Henry deserves to be dropped.
There's more chance of us drafting Donny from Spearwood in the mid season draft than there is of Henry getting dropped.

Troll!!

I want Hogan and Valente in. But honestly I can't call anyone out to be dropped! Those who weren't great are important structurally and play important roles.

Been so long since we've had these real selection problems. It's awesome!!

Out: Lobb (rested, not sure how his ankle is)
In: Hogan

would expect Bewley to come back after his rest, ****ed if I know who for

People who say Henry deserves to be dropped obviously weren't physically at the ground, stop talking shit from your couch lol.

Schulz also had a fantastic game and did plenty of the small things right.

Blakely however was completely useless and is a liability with the ball in hand, whether that's kick or handball. His kicking actively harms the team, and his handballs sell his teammates into trouble. Ignores quick kicks and allowed Sydney to reset everytime he had the ball.

I've been a strong backer of Duman but he was poor. Out for Watson.
Aish looking very sluggish too, out for Bewley.
And for the broken record, FCS out Lobb. He's not right. In Hogan

I was at the ground and disagree about Blakely - he at least goes in hard.

Hard to cut players from such a comprehensive win. Players will need to be rested though so I guess its up to selection comitee to figure out who.

No changes for me.

The only possibility is Hogan for Crowden which is quite a significant change to the structure of our forwardline. Not sure it'd be a net positive.

How is Hogan’s defensive side of his game ?. If he doesn’t mark the ball, will they just run it out ?. Needs strong defensive forwards around him, to keep the ball going forward.

Are we carrying sore players ?. Maybe one to rest ?.

IN: Hogan, Bewley
OUT: Lobb, Someone?

Duman is an easy out, but I don't know how much our structure changes without him

Valente and Watson should both be in soon, don't know if it'll be this week though

Someone is gonna get rested, maybe a Crowden type. Hope the spleen rupturer isn't out but it might happen

They're not dropping Lobb for anyone other than Meek this week - Tabs is too valuable to lose to cut-out ruck duties and they won't want to throw Darcy up against Mumford and Jacobs solo.
Mumford and Jacobs don't play together
