Must admit I was thinking similarly yesterday while watching the game. That he needs some more physical development before coming in. Maybe in the back end of the year to give him a taste. Those calling for Jacques inclusion should keep in mind he is very lightly built and would be pushed around by mature opponents. He is coming along nicely in the VFL but needs a bit more meat on the bones.
Playing off half back or a wing should mitigate his build. Angus Clarke is a similar build and has stepped up nicely for essendon.Must admit I was thinking similarly yesterday while watching the game. He looks a very good prospect just a bit light for AFL Level right now

He might be able to make the leap. I trust that the MC knows better if they think he can be effective. We can use another outlet from the back half.Playing off half back or a wing should mitigate his build. Angus Clarke is a similar build and has stepped up nicely for essendon.
If we are rewarding VFL form he was best on. Unfortunately we don’t have room in the midfield currently. So if promoted he’ll just rot inside F50 like he did in his first few games. Which makes it hard to impact, given the type of player he is & this stage of his development.Has Hynes earned a crack?
It is not stupid to reward VFL form but it must be done in accordance with the scientific theoremI'm confused. Only a couple of days ago people were saying how stupid it was to reward good VFL form.
Thank you for the up dateSellwood late out, apparently illness. Jaques played really well in a new roll on a wing. Didn't get alot of it but got burnt by team mates a few times when he worked into open space. He managed to get on the end of a couple goals.

He also didn’t play much midfield minutes from what I could see, I saw him mostly on HF.Not sure if Libba was carrying a shoulder from a training mishap in the hawks game. It was the quietest I have seen for a few seasons.
He was also one of the worst on ground a couple weeks ago in the VFL, turnover after turnover. Those calling for Jacques inclusion should keep in mind he is very lightly built and would be pushed around by mature opponents. He is coming along nicely in the VFL but needs a bit more meat on the bones.
And that’s not doing anything for his development. Agree mate, he needs to stay in the twos at the moment. If we are rewarding VFL form he was best on. So Jaques is not ready from what you are saying so what about luke kennedy would he ready for AFLHe was also one of the worst on ground a couple weeks ago in the VFL, turnover after turnover.
I think he’ll be good but he’s definitely not ready yet imo.
BOG a few weeks ago then two very quiet games. Plus he's an inside midfielder and wouldn't impact the game much if we chucked him on a spare half forward flank. So Jaques is not ready from what you are saying so what about luke kennedy would he ready for AFL
I don’t see much in Luke Kennedy to be honest. He just doesn’t have the size or tricks to be an AFL standard midfielder. That’s not to say he doesn’t have talent but he’s going to need to learn how to play a different role.BOG a few weeks ago then two very quiet games. I didn't mind his role on the weekend as that lock down half forward. He has the smarts for it just needs to work on hurting the opposition more whilst doing shuting down.I don’t see much in Luke Kennedy to be honest. I know he’s not super quick but does he have any potential to play as a small lockdown defender?
There is good form and then there is good formI'm confused. Only a couple of days ago people were saying how stupid it was to reward good VFL form.

Jones is cooked.Bring back Liam Jones (if fit).
Let’s not f**k around with backs such as Coffield and Gardner.
