He is. He would be playing tall along with Amiss and Jackson. Freddie, Switta, Walters, Schultz is already 4 smalls. We need someone who will play third and halve contests. Treacy plays that role much better than Sturt does. It's no coincidence that we looked our best with that set up (switching out Walters/Switta/Freddie whoever was injured each of those weeks).

You say we already have four smalls like they are bolted in. As far as I am concerned he should be able to compete with any of them. If Banna's can get a game when our three talls are in the forward line, so can Sturt .

I think the issue with Henry is this is his 4th year in the system, he's had over 30 games and multiple people are still calling out multiple deficiencies in his approach. We'd all love to be proven wrong but when he seems to be getting opportunity over Ras/Johnson/Worner AND the team is going crap then cue frustration.

I could call out multiple deficiencies in most of our mids but no-one is calling for them to be dropped every five minutes.

look I’m not welded on to Henry, but Sturt has kicked three more goals than just about all the small forwards over the last two weeks and his name is first on the block.
He kicked 40% of our score today. I’ll take supposed junk time goals over no goals every time
o’Driscoll has been putrid all season, Ryan, Pearce. Young is turning the ball over way too much. Switta’s last two weeks have been WAFL level, barely…

and The midfield just got fustigated with a spike laden pipe up the back door, and we’re talking about dropping Henry and Sturt…

Sure understand, but just playing with how I think it could go, I think that could be an option that the selectors consider because of the forecast weather + Treacy's quietness in that game (although I thought he was marking pretty well when he got near it).

Was at the game, Treacy worked his but off. Was free a few times & not used. Darcy out is a huge loss. Get him back & get our forward structure back

Now something has to be said about Fyfe and Switkowski. Fyfe has struggled big time. Up forward he’s slow and in the middle he relies so much on his ball winning that he doesn’t run both ways.
Switkowski hasn’t kicked goals for weeks. 9 goals from 12 games isn’t elite.
He won’t be dropped, but he just doesn’t do enough apart from elite pressure

Banfield, Hughes, Clark, Ryan have been horrendous the last two weeks.

Everyone should be on notice.
Last week and this will come into play. So should past form. Clark and Henry haven’t been close to their best.

I don't see any point in going to Colyer, he's not any better than who we're currently playing.

Wagner is ok but we don't need small defenders. Always said he looks best as a small forward so he could be an option to replace any one of our small forwards who are doing sweet fa lately.

Emmett, Reidy, Corbett aren't good enough.

Plenty of candidates to be dropped but who knows which ones the selection team think should go. Plenty of talk about us not playing how we were pre-bye but the form of our selectors since the bye has been poo too!

Interesting that JL mentioned Sturts dreadful handball in the first quarter in his presser and it was deplorable summing up his lack of intensity weakness but he did do some good things later in the game which may save him.

The point is it shouldn't be Henry. Pick one of the other's that haven't performed if you want changes. Maybe one of our teflon inside mids to name but a few.

Who are you having him drop once Darcy comes back? Amiss? Treacy? Jackson? Or do you want him to play Sturt as a small (even though he's ****ing useless in that role)? He was OK today only because GWS didn't waste anyone on him. He sprayed two very gettable shots, including when we were still in the game. That 12 point swing with the missed handball from 5m away was incredibly bad. 2 of his shots were from free kicks too, so it's not like he did well to earn 4 shots on goal. Switta was awful too but can pinch hit in the middle and has shown in previous games that he can be very effective there. Freddie is going at 1.5 goals a game when he's healthy.

I don't think Sturt was amongst our worst but he can't stay in this team for balance. Amiss, Treacy, Jackson, Sturt is way too tall. And the Amiss-Treacy-Jackson forward line is proven to be our most effective all year.
