Geez after having the AFL app for international subscribes forever and visiting home for a few weeks, I realize how lucky I am, left Oz when it was always on the Telly, quite a few commentators ago to be fair! Now I’m shopping pubs to watch today (Last Slice in Midland seems the go and localish) and will be nice to be amongst fellow comrades, non existent in the Cayman Islands!
I am expecting an arm wrestle and a few last quarter heart attacks, very happy we are being written off as well!

Get on the train mate and head to the Federal in Freo. Looks like rain will be away in Freo and the huge outdoor screen area is always full of Freo fanatics. Plenty of TV insides if the weather does come in during the game.

Not confident we get this done. It’s a pretty ****ed season where you can win 6 in a row and move from 10th to 9th in that time
I feel the same. Sydney getting close to their best side. Rampe out is a big loss, but Amartey back today, Gulden finding his feet and Papley due a big haul(and we don’t have a good match up) has me very nervous.

On the flip side they have to somehow contain Voss and Treacy. Darcy and Jackson in the ruck, with Jacko in the form of his life. Pearce back. Clarke in AA form. Bolton in form. Wags and Worner too. Andy and Caleb will want to make amends for their quiet games earlier in the year.

They are four games behind us and will probably think this is the last roll of the dice to be able to catch up. We need to break them early.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

Our forward pressure absolutely needs to be on point.

Swans should win this, players back, at home, freo fielding a damn tall team on a midget ground. Their mids hit the scoreboard and Gulden back is enormous.

The loss to them earlier this season has bothered me everyday, it was unforgivable and it will have consequences

McCartin and Hamling matched up Treacy and Voss. Hayward to lock down Clark(no e ffs) Heeney, Warner, Gulden clearances and Grundy to match it with Onions and Dogga.
This is a tight match up and crucial to win if we want to finish 5 or 6 and get a home final, hence being realistically apprehensive.

That's not exactly true though. At the end of last round we were 6th, so the stat about going from 10th to 9th would only be valid if we lost today.

Smart munny says we have to win 4-5 of our remaining 8 HnA games and we could miss out with only 4 wins. Ouch.
I've listed our games in order of easiest to hardest:

1 Carlton H
2 WCE H
3 Hawks H
4 Sydney A
5 Port A
6 Lions H
7 Dogs A
8 Pies A

We could argue about the exact positions but it's clear that if we lose today we will struggle to play finals.

Hopefully a rev up from Sonny, Darcy's further impvt and a desire for Round 2 revenge will get us there today.

Sydney are a lot stronger than they were in Rd 2. Are we?

LFG.

Unfortunately, the entire board will act this way, either one or the other in 18 hours time. The few sane people who don’t think like this will stay away while the others crack open the skulls of the weak and feast on their goo.
yeah but here's the thing... if we win... it's on!! heave ho 💜⚓

Hamling is a fringe player. Darcy will wear Grundy down. The midfield is about even. Sure they’re not to be taken lightly but I don’t think the players will be doing that. They will know exactly what’s at stake.

Most people are writing us off.

Odds are against us, most tipsters are tipping against us. Backs against the wall stuff here.

We should be up to our eyeballs in this.
50/50 game IMO
I’ve tipped Sydney but will be barracking hard for our boys , they can do this and more than happy to get my tips wrong ( going pretty crap anyway 🙄)

Massive if they do
September becomes much more real
