Oh, not that fantastic then. I just remember the commentators at one point in the game commenting on how well he was being held. Perhaps the floodgates opened later in the game.
Long time reader, rare poster. Can't believe some of the uninformed biased opinions on here. Lynch and hams will not be dropped, Adam selwood won't either as he offers a contest back, forward, or middle. There is 18 on the field not every player can be top 10. Shuey and hill will come in two will go out and unfortunately for our overly reactive posters it probably won't be team players like a. Selwood or mcginnity as they have proven themselves with effort (not skill) in multiple positions.
Hams had 3 goals he will not be dropped!

Hams may have kicked 3 goals but didn't 2 of them come late? His defensive pressure is horrible for a small forward. He won't get dropped but i can't wait for Lecras and co to return and push him out of the side.
Don't understand why people want Newman out either. His chasing and tackling is very good and he is perfectly suited to being the sub.

I thought Newman showed a bit again , real competitor I lke the look of him . When Newman gets on a run he could kick multiple goals one day !
Brad Dick could come in, but Swans were thrashed with no pressure for EF , Dick kick goals running free into the goal sqaure .

In the long term he will be one of our more dangerous midfielders/ forwards. But at the moment he's only getting games because of injuries.
On Hams, he was poor today as he's been all season. Isn't really a small forward, he can't find space when eye plays forward of centre and he goes to ground so easily.

He will, but these threads are more about hopes and dreams and innocence and less about the skull crushing realisation that my once favourite player is not even close to best 22 anymore and needs to be dropped.
Brennan unlucky in the above.

I think we need to refresh the side and make a few changes but I can't decide who to drop. Depends on the availabilty of Hill/Smith etc. We have a plethora of defenders but have allowed over a 100 points in the last 2 games, maybe bring in a few more mids and change it up more often with priddis and scott spending more time on the bench to freshen them up.
Other candidates for being dropped are Butler (was good but is not desperate enough), brennan, newman,rosa, hams(kicked 3 goals but laid 1 tackle). The lack of pressure in the forward line overall is disappointing, Darling who is our best chaser laid none.
