Can't be too upset with those changes, back line is as good as it's going to be really so hopefully can get the job done. Jones should have a decent match up on the resting ruck in Fort or McInerney so shouldn't have an issue with closing pace in his first game back.

I'm guessing McNeil sub, Poulter gets one last shot in the starting 22 to have a big impact or Harmes takes his spot next week (if healthy).

Going back to Cleary feels like it's all a bit of a merry-go-round but it is what it is. Not many options. He's not the only player we have that looks ok when our mids are beating up on bad teams but otherwise been suspect under pressure.

Taking Poulter and McNeil to a game in Brisbane with Harmes available feels a bit off. He's no star but easily better than both.

Dolan just not ready. AJ was looking like he might be that inbetween option that could finally get McNeil out of the side, just unlucky with that injury.

You'd have to think Mcneil starts in the 22 given he has missed 2 weeks of footy (unused sub then no VFL). Similarly I'd expect Poulter starts after only a quarter last week.

My guess would be Cleary or Garcia the sub with Williams on the wing and Freijah spending more time in the middle.

Cupboard is bare unfortunately in that small pressure fwd role. Artie can hopefully get himself fit over the next few weeks for a chance back in the team, but no other options currently. May get sent to a Zorko or Wilmot to keep them accountable.

I know he’s only played one VFL game but I would’ve preferred trying Sellwood over Cleary.

Cleary is poor offensively and defensively. He has neat skills but under any sort of pressure he crumbles and isn’t good in the defensive contest work. He can read the ball well in the air at times and that’s about it.

Come to think of it, that’s exactly how I’d describe Coffield as well.
