Horrible idea imo, if the ball falls to daicos he hurts you, where as Bolton is a terrible kick.

Are you serious? Bolton can spray the odd shot at goal, but if you are talking hurt factor, Bolton would be right up there for the most damaging/hurtful player in the competition when he gets the ball.

Bolton has a score involvement for 37% of his possessions. Daicos is at 27%. Playing forward would skew things in Bolton's favour, but I think my point is still valid.

Diacos's disposals have been bad this year with the extra attention. Both of them are in the 50's for kicking and 60's for disposals over all but Diacos a few % better for both categories. Nacios gets so many 1-2's that I would suspect he's probably on par with Bolton this year for disposal when it counts.

I think us being too tall is a bit of a myth going off the averages heights across Rd 18. Only 4 teams shorter than us and 2 the same height.

Carlton - 188.1cm, 85.8kg
Brisbane - 187.9cm, 85.9kg

Gold Coast - 188.5cm, 85.2kg
Collingwood - 188.2cm, 88.3kg

Bulldogs - 190.1cm, 87.2kg
Adelaide - 188.1cm, 89.5kg

Giants - 188.8cm, 86.9kg
Geelong - 188.8cm, 87.9kg

Freo - 187.9cm, 86.8kg
Hawthorn - 187.2cm, 85.3kg

Richmond - 188.4cm, 85.5kg
Essendon - 188.7cm, 86kg

Melb - 186.8cm, 85.7kg
North - 186.7cm, 83.7kg

St Kilda - 188.3cm, 85.2kg
Sydney - 187.9cm, 87,1kg

Port - 187cm, 84.3kg
West Coast - 188.5cm, 85.8kg

We're playing one extra key forward/ruck but we don't really have medium talls so it balances out. The Bulldogs are huge.
Yeah but if you took out Dudley our team would gain two centimeters!

As has Walker. You would assume this means Walker is playing as they will want him getting minutes given he had an extended break plus the recent Peel bye.

Without actually knowing, I can guarantee that Ras will not be on the plane and fair enough, Peel will be much better this week. Duds also probably out with Banners the obvious sub “if” Walker is playing.
I’d say young or JOM is the sub and banners and duds are out

Thats because Daicos is tagged almost every week. You sre comparing an 80% forward time player to a midfielder who is tagged...

Young, Walker, Murphy Reid, Nathan O’Driscoll, Corey Wagner and Bailey Banfield all travelling - from those named on the bench.

Will be Banfield travelling emergency and Young sub I would think

Yes, exactly as expected.

I think there is a chance Reid or NOD could be sub though.

Banfield definitely travelling emergency.

All those Grablett style 1-2's are probably why his ranking (35 all players, 25th mid or forward mid) is so much lower than his reputation would have you expect. Whatever the deficiencies of the ranking systems, they are all good in that they ignore stat padding disposals.

Bailey Banfield is like a cockroach. 😂

Interesting, Walker is the travelling emergency.

Looking at the bench and given Young is playing fwd/mid, banners must be in the 22.

I could make a case that any of Reid, young or nod could be sub. Or even wags! Bring in the 5 on the bench rule!!

without Hill Collingwood don't have an obvious small forward for Walker to play on. I still would have preferred him over Banfield but it's nothing worth melting over. Young still to be sub I think, unless Banfield is sub but that means Wagner would be playing back and not tagging Daicos which would be sacrilege

Good decision in Banfield keeping his spot, flexibility allows us to move the magnets (Wagner, Bolton) however we need. With Young in there is even less reason to have Ras.
